What do you think of people who ask for money in Mylot?

I look at it like this, if I had money to lend to them, I would not be posting on Mylot in the first place. At least, not nearly as much as I do. It is a shame for people to openly ask virtual strangers for money. I mean, I could maybe see if you talk on the phone or you have met that person. But to post a topic asking for money from random Mylotters is a bit much. One of my friends on Mylot did that once. But before I could even reply, the discussion had already been deleted. I think it is a little forward and tacky.

I have not encountered people here in mylot asking for money... but if ever i see one... i don't think it is appropriate... since this site is for exchange of ideas and earn little for that type of activity... Some people tend to abuse certain system or communities when they feel that they can get a few bucks from honest and good people... I just ignore those who ask for money...

It is very bad. They not only demean themselves but also brings a very bad name to the country where they come from. No one should encourage this.

I find them annoying and I don't think any of the ones that come here and actually ask for money need any money. They just do it because they are looking for a handout. I can only hope people actually ignore them and haven't given them anything because Mylot is a prime place for scammers to convene looking for people to scam.

people who are kinda desperate of finding money or its kinda sort of sideline..

I feel they shouldn't be asking for money for anything there are grants out there and other means like family or friends they know except on here. but I wouldn't ask anyone on here, because I don't know them just by name, however we do ask family if we really really need to but very seldom. also they need to band something like asking for money on here because its like my reciepe I can't post that on here but they allow asking for money there is something wrong with this picture.

i don't think they mean it. they must be doing it to get more responses

There are bound to be some gullible people out there and those people are preying those gullible people who would believe in everything they read. If those people who asked for money are just faking it then they are simple despicable.

I havent read one directly asking money. All I can read is how can I inrease my earnings in my lot or those asking for sites that gives more money. Maybe they are in real need of money, some have no jobs so they need it, and maybe some are really asker. Just dont mind them, other than the joy I am getting in discussing with mylot I also want to earn a little. But I am not up to $5.00 yet. Just ignore them. If they read your comment they will stop asking.

I don't like that. I am hear to discuss stuff that interests me. I am not hear to give charity. If I want to give to a charity, I will give to the American Heart Association. Don't ask me for money. I don't know you! And, with how easy it is to lie on the internet, if you think I am going to fall for your heartfelt story and give you my hard earned money site unseen...I have a bajillion dollar house to build for you in any part of the world that you want to live, for just $1! So, send me that $1 and I will not only give you my money to support your "study" but, I will also build you that bajillion dollar house where ever you want it! Can you tell it annoys me subha? LOL!

I call that begging which is very similar if not the same as pan-handling. I think that if a peron owns a computer they probablly don't need the hand-out that they are online asking for....

hi all how u all doing i didnt see such thing on mylot since i joined but iam sure of one thing " they are liers " a person in need dosent call for money in public theese guys dont need money they are so lazy to work and earn money that is what i think

I really dont like it. Ya know everyone goes through hard times but I dont believe in going on the internet asking for money. There are plenty of programs out there now designed to help people out.

THEY ARE SCAMMERS!!!! Simply put. Don't fall for these types of scam whatever you do. I have seen so many on so many sites. It's pretty sad that these people do this. What has this world come to that you have to resort to the net to make money these ways. Obviously you can afford the net but you have to stupe to that level and ask others for money. How very sad.

Wow, maybe I am missing these type of discussions as I personally have not seen any of them here yet. I feel they are desperate, and unless there is Good reason for it with backing I would never trust them, or send them any $$. To me, this sounds like another way they could be trying to SCAM someone, and I would be cautious if it was me. And Never give out your personal information to anyone unless you can back it. It is way better here to be SAFE than Sorry. And if you are in doubt, you could question it with myLot management here as well. Good discussion.

I have seen requests for either cash or computers, although it is quite a while since I have noticed any such posts. I expect that this type post contravenes the Mylot guidelines in some way. As for the sucess of such requests, I very much doubt that they will be in the slkightest successful.

Hi there, Yes i saw some of the discussions like that. Well it is not a very nice thing to do if u r not so needy. What it does is people start ignoring such discussions and people who are really in need of money gets ignored. I request people not to do it and keep mylot clean and healthy. And then the saying goes " To err.... is human, to forgive is divine". Cheers, Tutul

I wouldn't give any money. Though I am sorry for their situation, you don't know for sure if it is true and also there are always people who have it worse than you no matter how bad your situation is right now. There are places to turn to for help. Though I could be a bit jaded as I used to now some "street kids" who went to Florida every winter with their begging money. They used to clear over $500 a day begging.

wow, lol i have not been forutnate enough to run into anyone who has done this and i am really glad i havent because. i would most likley give them alittle bit of i had it.. only if i had it like in my pay pal or somthing.. and even if they are asking and lieing.i know god sees good and god sees ugly... so no worries:)

Till now I have not come across such situation but still mylot is a place to discuss share your opinion and get content responses here it is not advisable to do such things
