When I was still in grade school, I was watching this anime series on our local television channel. The story is about an American boy named Cedric Errol (more fondly known as Cedie), who at an early age finds that he is the sole heir to a British earldom and leaves New York to take up residence in his ancestral castle, where, after some initial resistance, he is joined by his middle-class mother, the widow of the late heir, James Errol. His grandfather, the Earl of Dorincourt, intends to teach the boy to become an aristocrat, but Cedie inadvertently teaches his grandfather compassion and social justice and the artless simplicity and motherly love of dearest warms his heart (answers.com). Though I have watched it before and now that I have already gone through college, the story doesn't die out. I was able to watch and finish it again recently. Now, I hope you guys were able to watch this very nice story, in case you don't and have time, try it out. The animation is quite good for its age. Among the cast of characters in the series, I really like to see a grown-up version of Colleen(Cokie) and Bridgett. How about you guys? Have you watched an anime series that you wondered how some of the young cast would look like when they grow a bit older?

Cedie!! I grew up watching that series. Dont remember much about the series itself. Just remembered that it would be one of the morning shows that Id look forward to watching, curious as to what happens next. Being emphatic when Colleen cries over everything and when Bridgette is being mean to the main characters again.^_^ The only series that I could think of wondering what the characters would look like is Rugrats. What would Tommy look like with hair? Will Phil and Lil still wear matching outfits? Will Chuckie get finally get contacts or stick with his glasses? Will Angelica ever be nice to the younger kids? Those are the questions that I wondered about. Good thing they made a spin off series showing the babies "All Grown Up". It was really something to get definite answers. Its kinda like seeing characters that Ive grown to love, grow up like real people, right before my eyes,...so to speak.^_^ Anyway, Id really to love find out when and how Edogawa Conan will finally "grow up" to be Kudo Shinichi again. Im starting to think that it wont be in this lifetime.

Thanks for posting.. your very considerate.. One of the best anime shows that any child should be able to watch.. (^_^ ) Yeah, when something unjust is happening or someone is taking advantage in a certain scene in the series, the background music really adds to that evocation of emotions.. Ah, Rugrats to All Grown Up.. Was able to watch that at Nickelodean I think when we still had cable.. now all the Nick shows that I could watch would be those shown on TV5 (ABC 5 before).. there are other shows that would seem nice if they could show a grown up version of characters that were all young when they got aired on television.. of course, there would be fan made works but, would be really interesting if the original creators made them.. That Detective Conan series is still on going.. and its very impressive that the mangaka can come up with different cases that Conan would figure out.

You're welcome... Im not sure how I am considerate though.. Totally agree that there might already be lots of versions of 'grown up' kid characters or child versions of adult characters all over but its just not the same when the artist who conceptualized the idea of the characters, made another version him/her self. Know its still ongoing..most of the episodes are just side quests, hints to the answers of the original story arc(how Conan will change back to Shin'ichi) are few and very far between. I cant complain though cause the stand-alone cases are sometimes thought provoking that I wonder if it could actually work in reality. ..not that Im thinking of trying.

I love watching those old anime series. They are all feel good although most have drama in it. I agree Cedie is still good but my favorite would be the Von Trapp Family Singers. This adaptation of the sound of music is very fun too watch since I love the movie very much.

Romeo's Blue Skies - In this image, we see Piccolo(weasel of Romeo) and Bianca on top while Alfred, Romeo and Angeletta are all seated together.

I really have not seen this while watching the series but, it would be interesting enough if Bianca (Alfred's sister) and Angeletta (the girl who Romeo met at Rossi's place)..
There are lots of other old anime shows that are really worth watching for young viewers.. All of them mostly from channel two here in our country. That teacher turned wife and mother is really interesting indeed (^_^ ) Make me recall Little Women 2 and other animes like Romeo's Blue Skies
