and for those with Canadian U.s. accounts, do you wish such accounts were now accepted by Paypal so you do not have to worry about the cost of converting Paypal amount into Canadian dollars and thereby losing about a dollar or so, even if you wait until you got $50. Do you also wish that NAFTA would go away so that we could have real free trade and we can open U.S. checking accounts without being under a Canadian bank and therefore be able to put our paypal money in there? I would think that for those Canadian cities within driving distance, having one or two U.S. banks in those cities would be a good idea and would make it easier instead of going to our Canadian bank or credit union, asking to change the money into American funds at a cost.

well I do know that the bank of america operates in canada, but yes I would love nafta to go away that is for sure. and although I hate that I lose money on paypal because of american funds, it used to be that our dollar was lower and I gained money, boy I wish those days would come back lol

I hate that fifty cent charge. If I keep $150 in Paypal, well then it looks as if I am rich. I do not know if the Bank of America is in Manitoba, it probably only is in Ontario and Quebec where you can just walk across the bridge into the States.

I will have to look into it. I was thinking of trying the Royal Bank, I know they have an American bank account but you have to be rich to open one.
