my wife gets angry with me every now n then just b'coz of my excessive joking. i try to keep her happy by making her laugh but she takes it in a different manner. what shud i do?????

Like the saying there is a time to be serious and a time to joke around. If you are serious all the time that sucks but if you are joking around all the time that sucks too. find a middle ground.

Probably you must be overdoing it. You must have a product mix - like some jokes, some interesting discussions, enquiring about her health, her work, her relatives, her childhood days, her sweet memories. You will definitely get a good feed back and reciprocation. If you do not want to do all these, marry a robot. Please donot be serious about my remark. It is just to convince you for a fruitful relationship.
