I've been wondering, I mean is the Bible just a bunch of made up stories that give people something to believe in? Is the Bible actually a fairytale? I'm starting to wonder about this one myself. How do you feel about it?

Hi there,
I cannot decide for u, but may this may help u to decide;
LEV 11:21 Yet these may ye eat of every flying creeping thing that goeth upon all four, which have legs above their feet, to leap withal upon the earth;
LEV 11:22 Even these of them ye may eat; the locust after his kind, and the bald locust after his kind, and the beetle after his kind, and the grasshopper after his kind.
LEV 11:23 But all other flying creeping things, which have four feet, shall be an abomination unto you.
see insects have how many feet, then decide urself, goodluck

The Bible is a story, in fact a grand narrative... but within that story is weaved in so many theological truths as well. It has fictitious story within it, and one may call them as parables! but this fictitious story used to be told to communicate a theological point... I think the question we need to ask is does the Bible tell a story that makes sense? Or is it just a useless fairytale kind of a story that is told to put people to sleep.
For me the Bible has a grand narrative that is so profound... and that makes profound sense as it weaves theological truths into it. Take the Bible as a whole unit... study it and understand how the grand narrative plays out. It's amazing... you'd have a sublime feeling as you understand the story being played by different characters throughout human history.

the Bible is not made up stories, but stories of truth from the past. You can't get more real when it comes to the Bible. God bless
