How would you define the word/term Salvation? ------- what the term means to me is; that which occurs when the Good Lord says "Welcome, My good and faithful servant"

I think different religions define it differently. One branch of Hinduism will define it as being in union with the absolute, or Buddhist may like to define it as cessation of suffering...

I feel people of different religions define it differently. In Hinduism itself, each branch considers Salvation different from another group/branch. For example, In Dvaita and Vishitadvaita philosophy, salvation means being with God in his abode, whereas in Advaita philosophy Salvation means becoming one with God... no more cycle of births and deaths. I am one that believs in the later definition.

To me religion is branding business like Adidas and Nike, Pepsi and Cocacola. As you know when you want people buy your brand more, you always say good about your brand. My religion is better than yours, it's more freedom. Come and join this religion otherwise die to hell. I believe in God so I don't need a religion. I practice a religion to make my inner soul live healthy and happy.

we are living according to our religion, every religion have their own teachings and doctrine...our salvation depends on the way we live...we are developed and corrected by this teachings...of course the good teachings is not from the leaders of the religion but instead it came from the holy bible...we are waiting the day of salvation that god allow us to live eternally.
