Im planning to start my garden soon, my mother-in-law has been growing flowers and bushes around the yard. And I wanted to make backyard my place of flowers. Can you suggest what flowers or bush or plant I can grow in my garden? I really have no idea but something like roses or tulips, I don't even know if it'll grow in here Is there a plant that can withstand 4 seasons? I would really love to see flowers the whole year long, it's just so great to see nature everyday, is it possible? Thanks for replies

Hi there... Well, I would think with the gas rising and the food prices too, the best things to plant would be food, veges of any kind, or of preference... Hope you have a great season...

Tulips are great, but check your region, I think the time might have past for planting bulbs. You can never go wrong with a Hosta. My husband has mowed over mine, and those suckers ALWAYS come back. Check your local Home Depot or even Walmart, they have bulbs out now, that are ok to plant and bloom is spring/summer. Even along a fence line, sunflowers are quite hearty. The key is to play around, I never knew I had a green thumb for gardening, but now I love it. I have 6 garden beds. (Hint...in about a week or so, stores with have Star Gazer Lilies, buy them, and plant them, they are not only beautiful, but the scent is wonderful, they come back every year)
