Why do we as Americans tolerate a racist as blatant as the good reverend Write? How can we trust a presidential candidate that has been a student of such a hate filled man for more than 20 years.

We have to understand the facts of this very damaging piece of information that has come to light in the last few days. First Barak Obama has been a member and attended this church under this racist (no better word)for 20 years; Obama's words not mine! His wedding ceremony was performed by pastor Wright, his children were baptised by him but; now he expects people to believe he has never heard this man (his spiritual advisor and mentor, again Obama's words not mine)spout racial slurs at white people and if he had he would have changed churches? LIAR!! His wife even shows how deep this pastors teachings have gone in the last 20 years by saying that she had never been proud of her country in her adult life until now; does that sound like it came from a patriot, an American, the future first lady? Heaven forbid!!

We can not trust Obama, no matter how color blind that we would like to think America is, it is not...African Americans will always play the race card because they know it works. It is not working on me any more.

Look at what happen to Pat Buchanan back in 1996. Pat look like he was going to win the Republican Primary. Then the Center for Public Integrity claimed that his campaign co-chairman Larry Pratt, was a white supremacist. Even though this was never proven it destroyed Buchanan. Now the shoe is on the other foot. Now a Democrat is being associated with a racist. How does that feel? Come on Democrats you loved labeling Republicans racist, now your guy is being labeled a racist.

i think his personal beliefs have nothing to do with the reverend of his church, just because his reverend espoused beliefs that you do not agree with does not make him a racist. think of all the catholics and christians who believe that anyone who does not believe in god will burn in hell, do you not vote for a presidential candidate because he's a christian? if you are a muslim do you vote for a christian? does a person's religious belief render them unable to run the country?

I vote for 2 things; 1. The person that I believe will best represent me. 2. The person that best typifies Christ.

dvs...there was nothing christian or religious about Wright's statements. his religion is not being targeted at all. the man made HATE comments about America and whites specifically. His comments were definitely racist and the man believes that America created HIV to get rid of blacks. Read the black value system they follow. If Obama believes this BVS then what does that mean for every other race in America? The BVS only promotes the furthering of blacks!! this is extremely significant because Obama himself has said that he takes moral leadership, spiritual guidance, blah blah blah from this man. there was nothing moral that came from his mouth in the statements I have heard. he is a racist
