Ok was going to post this discussion under 'myLot' but couldn't resist this one 'people' - I need to add an interest 'things old people do'...
Yep I had something on my mind, a question actually and finally found the answer but now I can't remember for the life of me who was looking for the same answer...
So, what ever friend of mine on myLot who was having trouble making changes to their myLot profile page could you please contact me.
I've had the same problem for months and months but tonight, well early this morning I figured it out - it's the browser, or at least it was for me. I downloaded foxfire browser and had no problem at all changing my profile page and adding the html sortie which I couldn't before.
Now for the sake of 'discussion' if your NOT the friend I've discussed this with before who had the problem - have you ever had something on your mind but then lost the reason for thinking it to begin with? Come on, be honest, and please please share it with us all :) maybe someone else will remember for you/us :)

Of course I've chalked it up as being part of "getting old" but that always happens to me. I'll have something that I want to say to my daughter and when I see her I totally forget what it was and when she's gone I remember. It makes me crazy. I've started writing these things down now so I'll be sure to tell her. As for our profile change thanks for the heads up...I'm going to give it a try. I use Firefox for some things but not for mylotting.

You are certainly not alone. I do this on a fairly regular basis. Most often I forget words when I'm trying to describe something during a conversation. I do better on myLot since I have time to think about what I'm going to say and change what needs to be changed. I blame part of this problem on age but did have a major injury 6 years ago ice skating. Fractured my skull and also had a concussion. It was explained to me at that time that concussions do accumulate.
It wasn't me that asked the question about updating my profile page but thanks for the additional information.

LOL the fossil era, my boys particularly like to act surprised that there was 'fire', 'wheels', and even 'TV' when I was young :(
I don't really like foxfire (or whatever it is) but at least now I know I can play with my profile a bit more and add some things that others are adding all the time - I felt so banished from the html world on mylot :)

LOL - yep great crowd we belong to though, how have you been doing dear I haven't seen you around in ages it seems. Really funny you respond to one of my discussions that has a 'cheater' on the prowel :) I've reported several of the copied responses that have nothing to do with the discussion. May be old and lost it but not totally, yet :)

I have had that happen to me. I think it is called old age but I won't say for sure. Since this happens to me on a regular basis. But for quite some time it has been happening to me. So is it just a old age thing or is it just my mind type thing? lol. Hi Faith, Good Morning to you and A happy day also.

I do find it getting worse and worse - stupid things like I used to be able to remember what I wore on a certain day a month earlier - now I'm lucky if I remember what I wore yesterday.

I have spoken to alot of people that have had this problem in the past and I do know that I have logged in as them on my IE and it worked for me.
It is very strange but sometimes I think it may have something to do with having made the relevent updates to your browser as I do tend to keep up to date but I think the people that I have helped have not made the updates.
It is a strange one sometimes.
I do often think about some myLot discussions that I read later on in the day I away from the computer and the answer suddenly comes to me. And then of course when I get back I either forget what the answer was or I forget who it was that started the discussion which can be oh so frustrating. It would be nice if we had a bookmark feature online for myLot as I really don't want to be clogging up my favourites on my browser.

I always keep my IE updated but am thinking it's something to do with the security settings on IE, I set mine to higher security settings than the normal because of so much surfing I do.
LOL - should have seen me last night, got to about page 10 of trying to find the discussion from my friend and said this is crazy hopefully who ever it was will see it and it will help them.
I have a folder where I save all my 'get back to' discussions but did a bunch of cleaning out a few weeks ago and am guessing that one got deleted.

I think once I found that I couldn't add content to the html sortie so what I done was deleted all the extra sorties that were unused and then added the html sortie again and then it co-operated.
It was acting like I was trying to add html to a sortie that was not formatted to this.
I think sometimes myLot just does things that we can not explain. That is sometimes what I just say as it is easier to accept than my software being wrong lol.

That could have been me, faith, but I have both EI and firefox and already found out when my son had uninstalled my security, that was the reason I couldn't use HTML on my profile or do other things..Since the upgrade here the time before last, I have been able to use the colors, but nothing more than that..

Same here on IE could only do simple changes but not html with firefox I can do it all an I'm still running my security programs.

I'm only 32, not only am I forgetting things but I am growing gray hair very fast.I need to get it streaked once and for all. I don't want to look like an old lady even though half the time I feel like one. And thanks for the heads up. I won't use firefox as far as mylotting goes anymore, no wonder I have had problems!

I dont think I am the one who had a discussion with you regarding the sortie. But I sure have problems with it. When I first joined My Lot, the old style homepage was used, & I had no problems with that. But this, not so new sortie thing, beats me. I am okay at html, but I still can't figure what happens on the My Lot homepage, not since they made the changes.
I do have firefox too.

All the time...I have things on my mind and i was so sure i was going to do something about whatever i was thinking about,and Then i forgot the entire thing....I don't know if that comes with age or not..All i know is if i need to do something or even say something i better do it then because i am apt to forget...

I hate it when you walk into a room to get something or to check on something and then I forget what I went in there for. That is my old lady moment and I seem to have a lot of those. I guess that I am not the only one who does this but it drives me crazy.

Yeah, I am sure that has happened a time or two for me as well. But for the life of me, I can't remember what the incidences were.
My girls always get so bad at me because I don't recall a lot of things!
Right now, I am tired and can't pull an incident outa my brain!

Oh YES I sure have! I needed some white tags with string for something and when I went to the store, I bought a pack of them. When I got home I put them on the table then the next day I totally forgot what I bought them for! I know it was for something that I have quite a few of such as old spoons or rings which are things that belonged to my grandmother on both sides or great great grandmother but for the life of me I can't remember if THAT'S the reason I bought them for so they sit in a drawer rotting away or taking up space till I remember again - If I ever remember again. LOL
Call it a brain toot. LOL
