Here in Joppa, Maryland we are from $3.12 to $3.22 a gallon for 87.
I am seriously considering not going on vacation this summer because of it. We were only going to Virginia but we still have to drive there.
Have you modified your vacation plans because of the high price gas?
I think we will just hang out at the pool this summer.
Thankfully are grocery store is reasonably priced and only one mile away. If I have to run to Walmart or Target I am now limiting myself to once a week.

Kimbers, I live just a few miles from Joppa in Baltimore City, and we are paying 3.24 a gallon here. I work in Downtown and if I have to put gas while I am down here it is painful! I dont understand how the gas jumps an extra 10 cents a gallon just because you are downtown. Something has to be done I heard that here in the Baltimore area we are expected to be well over $4 a gallon this summer.

We are going on vacation the end of June begining of July... going to see my birth family AGAIN...
This time my oldest daughter and grand baby will get to go.
Have to do that once a year at least... no matter what!

That's what our gas was last week then it suddenly spiked.
We were out yesterday and I noticed it was between $3.39 and $3.49 a gallon. I live on the southwest side of Chicago and we have awful city taxes here on gas. Some stations are already over $3.60 a gallon and they are talking way over $4 a gallon here this summer.
We used to love taking long drives in the summer to find new places but we won't be doing that this summer. It already costs like $80 to fill up our pick up truck. This summer it will probably be nearly $100 a tank. That is insane when my husband only makes $800 a week (actually since he is on worker's comp he makes about $425 a week).
I remember when I met my husband in 1999 we lived in Missouri and we paid $.99 a gallon and it cost $20 to fill up his pick up. Gas in that same town is now around $3 or so now.
It is all so stupid with the oil and gas companies making billions of dollars in profits every year and we have to decide between filling up the truck to get to work or buying groceries to feed the kids. That is messed up.

Here in central PA it's 3.25 to 3.27 a gallon. Since I work as a seasonal firefighter for the forestry service, summer vacations are pretty much not an option. We normally go camping several weekends during the summer and since it's not that far away I'm sure we'll still be going. My next roadtrip won't be til October and hopefully by then it goes down.

Wow that is ridiculous Mike...The worst part is that most have to drive to get where they are going that's how they can gouge you. People even say take the bus or train here and they have raised those prices anyway because of the oil. Something has to be done soon worldwide!

Here in the UK we are averaging around £1.10 PER LITRE which is $2.22 American dollar. I think it is roughly £5.00 per gallon ( not sure how many litre to a gallon ) so that £5.00 would work out as $10.13 per gallon... You Americans got it quite good compared to us and all your cars are big heavy/huge engined gas guzzlers

Gas here in Kenner, Louisiana is anywhere from $3.11 - $3.40 a gallon. It is a real killer on doing things. lol We don't have a car right now, but if we did, that would certainly put a damper on going out too much.
I sure hope the prices come down soon. We are hoping our van gets fixed next month when we get our taxes back.

I am in St. Louis and gas last night was $3.07 per gallon for regular unleaded. I won't alter any vacations plans however I won't go far that requires driving the car. Am going to Arizona next month and it would cost me more to drive than to fly. Bye the time I stopped for one night in a motel and drove, it would be alot cheaper to fly. I drive an suv and although it's not a gas hog, I still have to fill up each week. Doesn't sound as though the prices are going to drop significantly anytime soon.

Here in NY- it's $3.39 a gallon- and that is the lowest grade there is-
For diesel it's over $4.25. I just said yesterday when I saw this huge increase-- how can truck drivers afford this? It's no wonder that the prices of everything is raising ... with the cost to get the products to us.
I'm not at the point yet- with cutting vacations out... I'm still driving all over- I'm just spending less money in other areas. Like eating out- taking my lunch to work- using more coupons, etc.
I don't see it changing anytime soon-- except increasing- I read it could hit $4 or $5 by summer!

Here in Milford, Illinois it is 3.39 a gallon. gas prices have modified my plans for going anywhere anytime soon. What are they trying to do to us? It hurts the economy more when gas prices rise.

I wish we were paying that price :) Here in Australia we pay at least $1.45 per litre. A gallon is 3.784 litres so it comes out to $5.48 per gallon.
Thankfully, we don't drive the car much and our car is very fuel efficient... goes about 600 miles on a 70 litre (19 gallon) tank... we only fill up once every six weeks or so.
