I think this race for the most coveted and powerful post in the world is taking a different route altogether. Do you think color is garnishing importance in the race for presidential post. If yes why do you think so. If no why do you think so. Any examples references you would like to give. What ever you say please remember the Terms and conidtions of MYLOT.

I think it is starting to take a different route now. This is where the mud flinging and stuff will really begin. Unfortunately for us, we have to suffer through all of the crap and hope that we will end up with a suitable candidate for president. The recent footage of Obama's pastor from his church, while troubling to some, I find it interesting that so many people view the whole thing as Obama's views. I have friends who believe in abortion. I do not. That doesn't change the fact that they are my friends. I don't think it is fair for people to assume that because Obama goes to that church, and is friends with that pastor that he agrees with everything that he says. Nor do I think it is fair to assume that he was at the sermon they keep broadcasting. I know at this stage of the game, the mud is gonna fly, people are going to make assumptions based on what they see and hear, sometimes without researching the information fully. Just as the e-mails regarding Obama being a practicing muslim. What I find funny, when that was debunked, then they start in on the Christian church he belongs to. It really, at least to me, all boils down to racism. There are those in this country that still hate based on the color of a person's skin. I think that is really sad. These same people will act one way in front of others, but still hold some hate based on the belief of their parents and grandparents. Racism still exists, regardless if we believe it or not.

First let me say I agree with you on one thing and that is there is no proof Obama was at the sermon that is being shown on TV and the net these past few days; but that is as far as I will go! Obama attended church at this church for over 20 years and there is no indication that the sermon we are seeing on these newscasts is anything out of the ordinary for this pastor nor are we seeing anybody in his congregation doing anything but a bunch of "amens" and "halleluahs"! The conclusion I get from this is pastor Wright preached in this manner regularly and his congregation agreed with him or he wouldn't have been the pastor there for very long (my dad is a retired minister so I know how that process goes)! Then Barak makes one of the (I believe) biggest blunders of his campaign and that was to deny he had ever heard this man preach anything like that and he would have quit the church and gone somewhere else if he had! BULLS**T! 20 years of attending this church never to hear this man who is so passionate about how he and his fellow blacks have been mistreated by white people and how it is time to judge America and GD America? Give me a break, Obama! You can even see the results of these teachings in Obama's wife who, unlike Barak, couldn't hold back her hatred for America or at least "white" America when she let it slip that "this was the first time in her adult life she was proud to be an American"! One of two conclusions here; either Barak agrees with what this racist (only word that fits)is saying or he has lied to us about where he has been going to church for the last 20 years!

you are right that somepeople hate others by their color and there are chances of it getting influenced in life, but why do they do that whats the reason, dont you think that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. There should be some explanation from obama regarding this, and his wife says those unmeaningful words gosh and if won she would be the first lady of America. But why are we so much engorsed with obama and why not hillary is it some mistake of our perception or the entire society feels like that. Whatever the judgement day about who is gone become president will be out and then we would be knowing what exactly influenced the election.

I guess what I really don't get is first, the rant from everyone is that Obama was actually muslim. People spreading the e-mail about the school and all that. Then it was that he would not recite the pledge of allegiance. When all of those are debunked, now it's his preacher from the Christian church, that if you bought into the whole muslim thing, you can't actually believe, because according to the one e-mail, he's not christian. So which is it? Either you believe he's actually a muslim, or you believe he's being led by the ear by this pastor from this church. If you ask me, it seems that the entire basis of this is racism. I'm not sure how many people have had the opportunity that I have had to attend various religions services. I am babtized Lutheran (American Lutheran Church) my children are babtized Lutheran (Lutheran Church Missouri Synod). I have attended Presbyterian, Pentacostal, Babtist, Catholic, Lutheran (both), jehova's witness, free evangelical, cowboy's for christ, and just christian churches. I have been to all of them. What I did learn, is that some are more intense than others. Some have rituals that others don't. Some are boring, some are interesting, some are scarey. I do know that with some religions, the pastors or preachers or reverands or fathers or whatever the case may be for that religion, nobody presented their sermon the same way. All were different. The footage I saw of Obama's preacher did make me stop to think about racism and how it still exists in today's society. I see it and hear it all the time. I have members of my family even that in private company refer to black people with the "N" word. This is what they grew up with. This is how they were raised. (Granted, these members were children in the 30's to 60's.) I never understood this growing up. I have good friends of all races and religions. I make no judgement of them based on their color, religion, or income status. They are my friends because they are nice people and I enjoy their company. I don't know what their preacher preaches at their sermons. I don't know what they take from the church services they attend. It doesn't matter to me. I also do not base my opinion of people based on what other people say about them. I let people's actions speak for themselves. Too bad the rest of the country can't do the same. Our society is screwed up. We as a society are still biggoted. There's no getting around it.

Yes, most definitely it has taken a turn and I believe Barak Obama has shot himself in the foot by LYING to America on his beliefs and affiliation with his church and pastor. To say you don't agree with the man on everything is believable but to say you never once heard a sermon of the latitude that we have been seeing on the TV the last few days is an out and out lie and it will show in the polls in the coming weeks unless America is just plain stupid and naive!

Obama stuck himself in a deep pile of mud. What was the necessity for him to lie. It will show in the coming polls he ruined his campaign by himself he is in deep ---.
