sweet old couples

As I was getting to the office today, I saw an old couple (in their 70s I think) and they were very sweet with each other. In the public transport, the old guy has his arm around his wife. And while they were walking to the public transport, they were holding hands.. And I was thinking.. They're already old and still so sweet with each other! Aaawwwww... My parents are around early 50s and they are also sweet, like holding hands in public while walking in the mall or in travelling outside the country. I'm thinking to myself, will I have that also in my old age? How about you? Does your parents/grandparents still hold hands while walking, are they still sweet with each other? Do you know old couples like that?

I see lots of older couples all loved up like this, and it is really sweet and I always wonder if me and hubby will be like this too when we are older. My parents are definately not like this, in fact I have never really seen them loved up with each other in public! Funny how some people are like that.

i think if you really would like to be a sweet couple in public when you're old, you should take the initiative.. i'm sure your hubby will like that too. Maybe he is just waiting for you to take the initiative once, and then he'll be the one to do it next time. Now that he knows you like it =)

My grandparents were like that, they were married over 50 years, and I often caught them giving gental kisses, and sweet hugs to each other. It always made me smile, I knew how much they loved each other, thats for sure. I think after sharing all those years together they were like to peas in a pod. I can only hope to have that kind of love in my life.

Sadly, I have never personally known older couples like this but I have seen examples like them, as you did, in public.
It's so sweet and it always makes me sigh and makes my eyes water. I just find it so completely endearing and I can only hope that my husband and I are like this when we get older. That's why I loved the movie The Notebook, it was a prime example of this and it truly touched my heart....

Yeah! The Notebook was very sweet and prime example of this. I just can't believe that after all those years, the love is still so strong for each other. It's not just companionship; it's really love. Seeing these old couple really puts a smile on my face
