Are you who is the best scorer in test cricket?

LARA, 400 runs not out vs england in st. john's ground on 10 april 2004. he faced 582 balls scoring 43 fours and 4 sixes in the 778 mins in stayed in the middle of the action.

in the current form i have to say its tendulkar. lara used to be a great player but now that he has retired we can easily say that tendulkar is the best bats man. But we cannot forget the names like mathew hayden and ricky ponting... they are all good bats man, but tedulkar really stands out.

in terms of highest test score its Tendulakar who is 171 behind lara which will definitly will be passed during the South africa series. But hayden is the best player for test as he lead the AUS team to score more than 4 runs per over in an innings. This helps in 2 ways for the AUS team as Test cricket is all about time managment..... 1. Other batsmen have more time to spend in the middle to bulid their innins as there is no pressure to score runs.. 2. It also allows the AUS bowlers to have more time to finish the opposition...

I cannot understand the question. if it is the highest test scorrer, it would be tendulkar as he is only behind lara with 171 runs..... Haiden is the best batsmen for test as he scores runs quickly finishing with bigscores which will help their bowlers to have more time to finish thier opposition as well as the big score & longer paly for the opposition will also upset the mindsent which will indirectly help the bowlers.......
