so much trouble is going on in that country, deaths, rebellions, and the chinese government is killing monks? The monks have taken to the street in protest. I know I don't know much being a westerner but I never thought it would be so bad in tibet. http://www.ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNews/story/CTVNews/20080317/Tibet_official_080317

Well Tibet used to be an independent country until it was taken over by the Chinese. China not being a democratic country is dealing with unrest the only way they know how, that is with brutal force. This is very sad.

Dear Mailovee, The mere fact that I am a human being gives me the right to voice my dismay and sadness when other human beings are clubbed, beaten tortured and jailed. See, you are very young growing up in a country that can muzzle its people any time so you can tell me to shut up, because that is the thing to do. You only know propaganda about Western countries, therefore I am not surprised at your reaction, I will not however, try to explain to you what democracy entails. I think it would be an exercise in futility. I am however, surprised that you think you can use your democratic right on Mylot to abuse other posters. See, you can say whatever you want, agree, disagree, prove people wrong but you have to do it with respect for the other person. Stick around and learn.

Mailovee... call me what you like, I know you wouldn't say it to my face but do you have to be so abusive to anyone that disagrees with you? No one here is being duped by politicians, try to understand our politicians, by and large, don't care about Tibet, whilst China is providing cheap imports. If you are so confident of your position refute the history of Tibet's independence I have given, an account that is documented and open to verification. Don't shout and scream and tear your hair out like a little girl having a temper tantrum. all the best urban

well I think once they have announced the site, the country starts spending lots of money to prepare, and it is not right to take it off them at that point, they should have thought it out careful before they made china the choice.

I have to say,you are an ugly person, you think you know Tibet so well but you are just being fooled. again and again you provoked our people, while we did nothing to you. we have been debating over the Tibet issue in a discussion you started,at last you run out of words, now you just appear at every discussion related to Tibet saying only one sentence "China's continued occupation of this sovereign state is disgrace" how impudent! What are you trying to do here? bring us down? go ahead and try!

Hello, winterrose! whatever it may be, it is unjustified to attack other country by China.Tibbat was previously a buffer state and now China is claiming it and when the Tibbatians protested they are mercilessly dealt with.this issue should be taken up by the UNO and other developed countries and give justice to the tibbatians, else there will be another Palestine -Israel conflict.thank you.
