Horton Hears A Who, the Jim Carrey/Steve Carrell animation was a huge hit at the box office this weekend and flew straight to the top of the box office. The film took a respectable $45.1 million and is set to make back it’s $85 million budget in the coming weeks. Roland Emmerich’s prehistoric adventure, 10,000 B.C., suffered a huge 54% drop from its first week, taking just $16.1 million. The film has earned just $61 million so far. Never Back Down, the movie with a $25 million budget and a vaguely recognisable cast, done surprisingly well taking the number 3 spot with $8.6 million. Unfortunately, Doomsday had a bit of a rough ride. One of the new entries, Neil Marshall’s first film since The Descent raked in just $4.7 million.
