I was reading through today's internet news and came across some pretty odd and weird names. Exactly what were the parents THINKING? http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/23631411/?GT1=43001&pg=8#TDY_Names_Bad Al Caholic Oliver Clothesoff I.P. Freely Seymour Butz Mike Rotch Hugh Jass Amanda Hugginkiss Ivana Tinkle Anita Bath Maya Buttreeks Now, to add a few, I've known a... Penny Coyne Susan Butt Lax Murphy Murphy (His mother wanted to give her son her maiden name...even if that meant she marries Mr. Murphy. Unlike what his name suggests, that poor boy has known nothing but bad luck.) Do you know of any funny names you'd like to share?

thats funny. I really do feel bad for people who get named strange names. when I was naming my children I made sure that the names were not easily made fun of because children can be cruel.

I used to live in Tempe arizona and on a billboard in front of a medical building was listed Dr. M Yanke , and Dr. P Pullem both were listed as dentists. I really hesitated to go to either of them as I wondered how pain free they were. Then I had a gyn ob doctor whose last name was Katz and first name was Felix. He was really a great gnyob doctor. Then there was the director of the hospital where I worked whose last name was Macaroni and we often called him Macaroni to his back. his first name Chester which we made into cheese so cheese and macaroni and one day my friend really blew it when she said why hello Mr cheese macaroni. The poor man turned absolutely purple and huffed off.

*LOL* I used to live in Tempe as well! What a small world. The Law offices of Dewey, Cheatem and Howe! But seriously, the funniest name I've come across (after reading your response, I remembed this story) was when my son KC was born: My delivery doctor was Dr. Jew...but pronouced as You. He was of Asian blood. But, here's the kicker. He was delivering a baby next door. The father of said baby was a...skin head. He had the full markings from head to toe of one.

Thanks for responding and welcome to myLot! How old are Grace and Owen? When I named my children, I gave them common names, but gave it a twist...well...to some of them. Issak Jakob and my baby...Jonathan David. I laugh at it because JD is his own best friend. (As with Prince Jonathan and the soon-to-be King David of the bible)
