I have so many great memories of when I was growing up back in Brooklyn, New York. Sure, there were some bad ones but the good out weighed the bad most times.
Some of my fondest memories are of the summer months, when my family and I, especially my mom, sister, aunt & cousin, when we used to sit outside in our front yard and watch tv, listen to music, play games or just talk about old memories of when my mom and aunt were kids. We used to have so much fun!
I also remember our family gatherings and dinners we used to have, where afterwards we would play board games like Pacino, Therepy, scrabble, Uno, Charades and Trivia Pursuit. These were such fond times, times that will stay with me forever and always.

Remember eating too much potatoes because i cooked more than my mom told me . that i could not eat during lunch time because i had eating the extra ones to hide it from her so I don't get punished. she found out during lunch when I was unable to eat and every one began laughing at me.
then one day we were playing Michael jackson music at high volume and my jr. brother scream Wild cat(meaning my dad is coming) we shut down the radio and the cable of the mic was rapped around my leg i did not notice it I fell over it and lost my tooth.

NOPE I had a lot of fun. we went up this bush area and the guys around had told us there are snakes there. but still i wen t there because my brothers were going up there. i saw a small green snake and i ran back home breathing so much. my dad was hope he asked me what happen and i said a snake was chasing me. so he said were is the snake now I said may be the snake is scared of him because I'm home and the snake was running really fast. my mom was laughing and she said silly . My dad checked to make sure that i did not have any snake bit. then they asked me if I think the snake will come back I said yep the next day i did not want to go outside when my dad went to work because I thought if I go outside the snake will start chasing me again and I will have to run.

I had a very happy childhood. I have a lot of fond childhood memories.
Sledding with my brother and sister in the winters.
Playing hide and seek with my mom in the house.
When I was little my dad would pull me around on the snow shovel outside.
The time we tried to help my mom rollerblade in our dining room was a lot of fun. She was scared and had no balance at all.
Building forts in our hay barn; the one place we weren't allowed to go. So, of course that is exactly why we wanted to go there. My parents were scared the bales would come down on us, or we would fall between the high stacks and suffocate. The same reasons I wouldn't want my own children to play in there! Children think they are invincible. I know we did.
I have a ton more. I don't think I could pick just one.

I DON'T WANT TO DO HIDE AND SEEK TO THIS DAY BECAUSE
Once when i did it I had my self hide in the bath room. when it was my brothers turn he went to the storage with a bowl of rice. while i was searching all over my brother was eating in the storage room. it took me one hour a and i never got him I sat down and almost forgot. now the heat in there and he 's been eating there suddenly he got out and i said why are you looking go terrible he said he was eating rice. I told him we were supposed to play not eat rice.
I never wanted to do hide and seek after that day. because I still think he will eat rice .

I have lots of childhood memories, which make me smile, like Christmases with the whole family at my Nan's house. My Nan had seven children and they were all married at the time, bar one, and all had small children. We used to have some great times. The Christmas Tree would be adorned with tinsel, chocolates and baubles, plus wax candles, clipped on the ends of the branches in holders. These were only lit after dinner when we all retired to the living room together, wearing our paper crowns! lol.
Other times that stand out in my mind are that, My Mum, Dad and three siblings, plus my Autie, Uncle and her two children, and a friend of my Mum's and her two children used to make an outing each Sunday. We would catch a bus to the foot of the South Downs, taking a picnic along. Then we would walk down a little lane, and up to the top of Wolstonbury Hill, which is an old iron age fort hill. There we would picnic, pick blackberries, play hide and seek and roll down the hill, walk in the woods and discover nature. We had some really great times. We'd travel down at about ten in the morning, and leave at four-thirty in the afternoon, to catch the bus home. We'd get home, tired, have a bath and a light supper before bed, and we'd sleep really well, after all the excitement of the day. I used to really look forward to that.
Brightest Blessings.

Wow, that sounds amazing! We grew up in New York city and so, there was not really much nature watching and that's something I wish we had more of growing up and it's something that I think a lot of city kids miss out on.
I'm so glad we moved to Lexington, Kentucky because Lexington is a smaller city and my children (when I have them that is LOL) will be able to know what it's like in both worlds...

I have a lot of great memories during my childhood days. My brother next to me is my playmate and we use to play games in his terms and the guys games
. My parents also tell us stories of the old ones, that I missed so much. Our two other siblings, elder brother and only sister, used to visit us sometimes and when they do we always had this moment together chatting away until midnight
.
When I started going to high school, slowly it was gone because I had to live in the city (away from my family). It was sad.
I'm the youngest of the family and now, I used to play with my nephews and nieces -- kids of my two brothers.

True and it was the same exact way with my family. Well, my dad was never really around but my mom, my siblings and I were like friends and we were all really close. We still are and sometimes we fought over silly things and still do but we always make up and the fights are more often than not, soon forgotten...

My most fondest childhood memories were always summertime in the province. During summer, me and my cousins would take a vacation to our ancestral house about 100 kilometers from the city. The good thing about it is its very near a waterfall, and a lake. So we would spend all day swimming and enjoying the coolness of the water. Well, we hardly do that now since we are now working, and some of my cousins are out of the country already. Its nice to recall such memories.
