What do you think of these types of programs?

Ok, I am going to start off my saying sorry if this topic has been brought to the table before now. But I searched and haven't found it yet. Have you ever tried the programs that give you free stuff/money for referrals and completing a few offers for credits? I am currently trying this out and I must say these site are really getting on my nerves. You end up spending so much money on completing these offers and advertising in order to get referrals that you don't end up making any money. These websites will offer you a free laptop, or a cash amount but you have to complete several "free" offers and get a certain amount of referrals to complete offers as well in order to get the "free" stuff. There is a website that says you can earn a sizable amount of money because people pay you to complete offers for their site. Now this part is true, but you end up spending more money on completing the offers. I personally am sick of these types of sites. Have you ever tried any of the "free" stuff sites? What do you think of it? Did you end up making money or did you loose money because you had to pay to complete the offers?

My girlfriend just recently joined one of these "free" stuff sites, so it's a bit difficult to say how it's going. So far nothing yet in terms of referrals and nothing in terms of free stuff. But then I can't really say anything about the free stuff coz I haven't come across anything that I can get in Malaysia. So the only thing I can try to get is referrals. As far as i know it doesn't ask for much info, but it requires a $10 membership fee every month.

Let me know hot your friend comes out! My problem is with the referrals! It's hard to get them.

I've come across many of these sites and always figured it would be difficult to meet all the conditions required and still come out ahead. Your experiences have validated my apprehensions. To be fair, though, I don't think that sites like that could exist if they didn't require their signups to spend money completing offers. It's not like those sites have many alternate methods of gaining revenue -- they really depend on their users completing offers and bringing new people in who will complete offers. Personally, I think I'll continue to steer clear of those sites. Good luck finding new ways to make extra money!

Thanks! You are so right about their revenue. There would be no way for them to give away "free" stuff if they didn't first make money on you completing the offers. I'll be staying away from those sites as well!
