african grey

does anyone have a African Grey? i have a 3 year old and wow can he talk, problem is he makes the sound of the phone ringing to and keeps me up and i cant sleep and i work at night , anyone in Memphis want a bird heheh. does anyone know a parrot that is not so loud?

All parrots are loud. What you should do is cover his cage while you are sleeping so that he will sleep. When you are at work, leave a light on for him. Just make sure that he is getting at least 6 hours of sleep in the dark. The reason he is making so much noise is because he wants attention from you. How much time do you spend with your bird? They are very needy animals.

well not as much as i would like we had my hubbys mom and dad living with us and i didnt want them flying on them so after a year he dont want to come out like he did b4
