What is your opinion on Senator Obama's minister?

And how the media is feeding everyone the clips of what the minister has said. Is the media putting spin on it? If all the things the minister said are meant to be "racist" or whatever, do you think Senator Obama believes the same way? What are your thoughts on this whole thing?

I definitely think the minister is a racist. Normally, I would be inclined to give the benefit of the doublt to Obama. I'm a Catholic who thinks abortion is abominable but I support a woman's right to choose and I'd also like to see female priests ordained. However, this is not the first of Obama's associates to be accused of racism or antisemitism and his credibility is wearing a bit thin with me. I also think the flap about Geraldine Ferraro's remarks was exaggerated and the brouhaha over Clinton's comparison to Jesse Jasckson was just plain ridiculous. Obama and his people are giving as good as they are getting and they are very thin skinned when anything comes back to them. I suspect more will come out shortly on the antisemitism because there is a large Jewish vote in the Philadelphia suburbs and they are not enamored with Barack Obama. In other states, Obama has easily carried the wealthy, educated areas but I think that will turn around in Pennsylvania where a lot of that vote is Jewish or Catholic and those groups have had it with Obama and his questionable associcates.

I was raised Catholic myself, and feel that we need to be careful who we associate with (even when it comes to voting) however, I have understood for a very long time that the main stream media puts a spin on everything. In the context that I've heard his rantings, the pastor sounds racist, however, I have never attended his church, so I find myself hard pressed to judge exactly what kind of man he is, let alone what kind of man Obama is. This is very hard for me.

I don't believe anyone, and I do mean anyone can spend 20+ years under the teachings of a pastor and as Obama put it "spiritual leader and mentor" without being at least somewhat believing along the same path as his minister. Just look at Michelle Obama! Look at her view of America after 20+ years under the "spiritual" leadership of this racist! What really gets me is the blatant hypocrasy of this minister! Did you see the clips of his house? White America sure has treated him badly, hasn't it?

I have some serious doubts about Obama now. For one thing, it has not been all that long since his wife made statements about how she had never before been proud of America or proud to be an American. If she feels this way, and their reverend is teaching anti-America sermons, why should I believe that he does not also feel this way? I am definitely having serious doubts about whether or not what he says can be trusted at this point, or if it is simply politics as usual and tell the voters what they want to hear so they will elect you.

No the media does not have to put a spin on anything regarding Obama. The words his minister has been spouting and he has been listening to for 20 years speak for themselves. If Obama did not agree with his mentor/minister for 20 years he would have left long ago...but he didn't. Voting for him is a vote for racism.

I see your point, however, I still can't really judge his minister just by the clips I've been hearing. I'd like to hear an entire sermon. I still won't be voting for Obama, but it's not because of all this, there are just many reasons I don't think he'd make a good president.

The minister is very racist, and normally, racists hang out with other racists. I have a strong feeling that Obama is fairly racist himself. I won't be voting for him...
