Plans for the Holy week....

I have work for the holy week, sigh, unlike the past few years that I have spent it with young people of our church. Its nice that we have those times together joining conferences, smeinars and church activities, we had a youth commitment conference late last year so we have not set any activity for this year.
For the holy week, im working very early and spending time alone at home, to gather my thoughts and also reflect on things that need attention, quiet time with our Lord and scripture reading.
No out door activity for me since I have work schedule, our local church is going to scedule a day in prayer this coming thursday and I cant be with them.
How about you mylotters, are you going out of town for the Holy week?

No, we usually don't go anywhere out of town, so I will probably be here, other than the few activities we have going on, like Purim Friday and dying eggs and making cookies Saturday..

Actually we will be making 2 kinds of cookies..The first one will be on Friday, Hamantashens for Purim and then Saturday evening, Easter story cookies for Easter..

My sister is coming to town to be with our mom for Easter. She is taking her to doctor's appointments, and with her to visit a friend. We're going to have dinner where mom lives on Sunday.
I'm working extra tomorrow and thursday to make up for having to pick up my sister on Thursday and take my roommate to the doctor on Friday.
I'm also working to get my cat back from the shelter on Sat. 4 hours done, 7 to go.

we only have easter no holy week but no we will stay at home and celebrate it with grand daughter looking fo reggs and things liekthat. then she will go to church with the bishops wife like every Sunday.

Thats nice, I really look forward in spending the holidays at home but with my present work it would be very imposible. Its like this when your work is like mine, its a service provider and we are expected to be there to assist subscribers who need assistance.
Its part of the job and I am trying to accept it.

Most of the people here from mylot have decided to stay home and thats a good reason also coz theres a lot of traffic and a lot of people travelling making all the terminals jam packed and theres too much heat and too much people also.

Why be holy only one week out of the year? Does God take care of us only one week out of the year? I don't think so! Holy week is so man made LOL....

Of course God takes care of His people all the time. I just wonder why you are laughing or making fun here. I dont think something is funny. Or are you just posting for the sake of posting. I dont think your post make any sense at all!

Sigh... this is just the worst day ever... I am already planning to have a vacation in China with my family today, but apparently mine was canceled because of some stupid assignment that I need to upload on the net.
I was already ready to upload it yesterday evening since I just finished it, but suddenly the net just won't work! Dang nang it! It just worked right now, and it's too late for me now to catch on the plane.

oh. WE have holy week here in the Philippines. hehe You must be from here... :)
Anyways, i do not have work this thursday and friday until sunday - so i will just be spending my hours in mylot! yes - my vacation days will be spent in mylot. my family has no plans - my brother went to the province with his family and i am left with my mom who is too lazy to get out of the house too and there is nowhere to go, except in churches - which will be packed with too many people. with myheart condition i cannot stand too much heat i just might faint and cause my BP increase. ;)
my prayers will be in the early hours of the morning - reflections included :)

Yes, hello there my kababayan. Im from the Philippines and sad to say I have work until sunday and will not be able to spend the time alone or go somewhere I could hide from the busy city life and reflect. I only have my room to hide into and the computer to do some mylotting.
Hope we can always spend time with God even if its not holy week.

Good Friday I may be at Church from noon till 3. Our son is coming over Easter morning for breakfast. then he. my wife, myswlf, and my father are heading to my daughters for easter dinner/lunch. I guess this can be construed as out of town as it is 45 miles away.

My family have plans already to spend the holy week at my cousin's mountain resort together with the rest of my relatives. We did the same last year. However, this year I may opt to stay at home since I want lesser activity. I just want time to be alone and gather my thoughts and pray. But I am not sure what would be the reaction of my cousins because they are expecting us to be all there. Though one could still think in the resort but there would be too many of my family around that it would be more of a get together and enjoyment rather than really living up to the essence of holy week. I just want it to be quite and reverent this time around.

Thats good my friend, soemtimes there is too much noise and these are the times when we can enjoy the solitude of our homes and being alone is one good reason to have more time with God.

Well, all the malls will be closed on Holy Thursday and Good Friday... so no outdoor activity for my famiy too... we will just spend the two days quietly at home... teach my baby the Sign of the Cross, watch "The Passion of Christ"... and listen to soft music... no work for me... but on saturday... we will go to my mother's house so that my baby and her cousin can play all day...

Thats alos what I will be doing after work on the holidays. Theres no other choice since most of my housemates are out of town and I will have to spend time alone in my room watching tv and have reflections.
