How better is India getting into nuclear deal with United States?

We are well aware of the nuclear deal of United States ,which United States is more curious to enter into, with India....What makes U.S. to be more interested in India? Because we know that without any profit U.S. wont enter into affairs of any country.Moreover our government in Centre is very keen to enter into that,inspite of the opposition by the Left and also from the people. Considering all these will it be good to India.....? I am welcoming the ideas................ Thanks
