My Favorite Flower

During the summer when it's my favorite time of year, I love to visit greenhouses with friends and buy flowers. Last year I came across some beautiful choices and came to the conclusion of which was my favorite kind.
I can't remember the name of the one I felt very drawn to, but I've attached a photo with this discussion to show you which flower I'm talking about. Maybe you will know what this flower is called?
The flowers in the picture is the one I purchased last year and I find it unique because I found when it began to grow it's beautiful pedals, they would fall off then it would close up and bud all over again then bloom, and at night it sleeps and shuts. When the sun comes out it opens and boasts it's pedals.
Any ideas of what this flower is called?

No idea friend. but it's beautiful.
I love flowers - tulips, roses, daffodils, crocuses....
but my favourite flower is lotus
why ? because once someone told me, 'you are like one of these' .... it puzzled me and i asked why? he said
'because a lotus grows in middle of muddy lakes and yet is so beautiful and serene. it is surrounded by mud but is not touched by it'
i love those words and it has given a new meaning to my life. no matter what is around you, however nasty people are - you shouldnt get affected or involved in it and maintain your purity and beauty. you should take the best out of the bad situations and look for the best in people
