Lower gas prices with a pully system!

Do you think there is any way to create a pully system installed in the nations roads that just pulls your car to where you want it to go? There could be certain places where you could hook your car up and just push a button when you arrive close to your destination and it will unhook your car and just drive the rest of the way. Just think, a lot less money being spent on gas, less pollution, a lot fewer car accidents, the list goes on and on. Tell me what you think or am I just out of my mind?

It would cost to much to install and to maintain.... Would be cheaper just to run your car on an alternative fuel such as LPG
