Paypal is not fair

Today I've been so busy with Paypal. On March 9th I added some money from my bank account to paypal and the length it took to get into my paypal account was 6-8 days. I needed to pay for my ebay item I won. Good thing the seller was patient with me about time. So it finally gets there on March 18th and it was sitting in my paypal account. I went through ebay to pay the seller last night and get this unclaimed message showing up in my activity colomn in my paypal account. I finally figured out what this ment after thinking that the seller didn't have a verified account. I phoned paypal and after waiting 20 minutes for an associate to get to my call they told me that this meant that when I tried to pay through ebay for some reason the system picked echeck for me, and that I would have to wait till March 31st to do anything. So basically on March 31st, they are going to take out the same amount that I had to pay the seller but the thing is that I won't be able to have that amount in my bank so I asked the associate what if I don't have the funds in there? He told me that they would attempt to do it again in 3-4 days. I then asked them if they could stop that from happening, and he said it was out of their hands. So what I did is called my bank telling them to stop the payments and I did have to pay a fee for it but now when paypal wants to take that money from me they can't... I hope I don't get banned from paypal for this. It's not fair. What are your thoughts about this? Have you had such an experience from Paypal?

Why did you transfer money manually out of your bank account? When I pay for things through paypal and do not have enough fund, the money is pulled directly out of my bank account. As far as problems with paypal, I have had a few but they were always quickly resolved with paypal.

My bank account is linked to my paypal account I have never heard of transfering the money from my bank and then paying an ebay item I have always just bid on the item then went to paypal to pay and even with a 0 balance in my paypal account it just comes straight out of my checking account and goes to them.

I didn't realize that's the way it went.. thanks for the information. From now on I will just leave it alone. When you pay for something through ebay and they take it straight out of your checking account, do you find there is a long waiting process? Or does it immediately just withdraw it quickly at that second?

I have never really had any problems with paypal. I think what I would do in your situation is transfer the money that u put in your paypal account back into your bank account, so when they take the payment for your item you can still cover it and not be out any money.

I guess I'm just impatient and wanted my item shipped out soon as possible as I've been waiting long enough for it already lol. Thanks for your comment

Paypal and ebay two major ventures. I love ebay but i hate paypal i shouldnt mention words here otherwise i would have all the words here. You did a right thing buddy. Their f system made a fault by opting echeck for you and you repented it by paying a fee to your bank. I hate paypal you did a right thing. It happened once for me and i made them realised that it was their mistake intially and not my mistake. You did a right thing.
