television commercials

I have to admit that my evenings are spent watching television. I know that I am just watching someone's life go by and ignoring my own. My problem with tv these days is the same commercials shown over and over again. I don't understand why they have to ram these commercials down our throats. The idea of commercials is to get you to use or buy something but after seeing the same commercial a hundred times in one week who wants to even look at what they are trying to promote?

Commercials can be very annoying, that's why I like to record shows and then fast forward through the commercials. Sometimes the commercial breaks last 5 minutes or more at a time.
