What did you go to college for?

I'm looking into going to college soon, after I have the baby in 4 months.
I want to know what everyone else went to college for because theres a ton of people that are going for nursing, which is a highly needed job. But I don't want to do nursing.
I want to do something else, and something that I wont get unemployed for!
I really don't plan on going for a masters or anything anytime soon, I'm looking more for an associates or bachelors degree because I need to start my career soon.

I went to Bryant & Stratton and trained to be an Executive Secretary. Somehow, I always end up in the accounting office though! And I hate math. Although, with today's accounting programs you really just need to know addition and subtraction. Plus you can always use the calculator. Doing a desk job where you type letters, filing, and some accounting is pretty easy. And in most cases you can get paid more than I did, which was only $10 an hour. The most important part of the job is getting along with the people you work with. If you don't, then you will hate going to work no matter how easy the job is.

Right now i'm in college and am about to study musical theatre and on the side i'm going to get my bachelors degree in english so that i can write books on the side or something like that.
