I just responded to your other post and mentioned I had quit smoking and here you ask about quiting. Thats a coincidence. I quit as a gift to my mom for Mother's Day. I made up a paper. I put our picture on it, I also wrote Happy Mother's Day, The date and a promise to be a non smoker. I printed it out, rolled it up and tied a ribbon around it, then I gave it to her for Mother's Day. Since I made a promise to my mom, I had to keep it. I first started smoking when I was a teenager, then I got an ear infection. I done thought I caught cancer, I immediently quit smoking. Like a dummy I took up the habit again a few years later. This time I have quit for good, I am done smoking.

I have been a smoker for about 25 years now. I wish I could just quit. I quit about 5 times, 3 of them while I was pregnant. It's a very hard habit to break. I am still trying to quit now, hopefully one of these times will stick, It's also hard for me to quit because my husband also smokes and he is not redy to quit yet. I think if we could resolve our financial worries and a few other stresses it might not be so hard.

I quit smoking once. I was 17 dating a 25 year old who didn't like smoke/smokers. So I quit smoking, it lasted the time of the realtionship did (6 months). I haven't quit again, and will never quit for someone else. Yes, I smoke now and have for 25 years. If you wish to quit smoking it has to be something you WANT to do, and do for yourself.
