I don't know for the life of me what is going on,I have for the past several months had this Anthem playing at various intervals in my mind, however the past two days it has been almost continuous! We have lived in this area for seven years on and off, this last stint starting November 17th 2007 untill this day.During this time we have walked our dogs in a nearby park almost daily,so why did I take my camera with me yesterday to take pictures of 'our dogs' (was my thought) which I did, only to find myself taking photos of The Monument to the American People, which I had walked past numerous times over the years without too much of a glance? I have just googled the Anthem,I read it and was very deeply moved by it,come to think of it have always liked listening to the tune when viewing the Olympics Games and the likes.Must admit only ever could remember a few lines. It sure has me beat folks! P.S. Have included the pictures taken in mylot photos for those who may be interested. Not a great photographer I am afraid, but you should get the picture...Lol

;o) Hi there, That posting caught my attention, as I am playing my version of the National Anthem at a National Championship this month. So I'm excited. And of course the tune is in my head too!

Hi Loren, thanks for coming back to me on this....It has now slowed down some, only came in once this morning the lines,The Land Of The Free,And The Home Of The Brave..'Think' I have that correct. will when I have a few moments of quitness for myself,Easter and visitors etc, read through the lyrics, the tune is no problem..lol..and try to work out what the song is saying to me..think I have an idea. What type of instrument do you play, may I ask where is the venue?City or the like,as I have never visited "The United States Of America"..hopefully one day. Good Luck with the National Championship.

I play the violin, ganda. :o) I have my own version for the violin that I wrote, which I've performed at several competitions, but this is the first National Championships. Easty Coast location (I can send a message if you'd like);o) I have the words memorized easily, but that's probably because I have played it often and the words are in my head. Well, I better go and practice! I'm going to be hooked up to a huge amplifier for the whole gym.

Hi again! I know, don't you hate it that myLot doesn't send an email or notify you when somebody replies back again on the same posting? Like you, I have done that several times when I have no idea that they wrote back, until by coincidence, either somebody else posted, so I scan down and see, or by chance I review an old discussino of mine. Anyway, thanks for the reply and the kind credit. ;o) The Nationals were awesome! I went both last Friday and Saturday night. It was terrific. Amazingly talented and athletic men competing. And my whole family got free tickets in the audience. And then I was generously honored with many gifts from the head coach. :o) I'm busy playing lots of music now, in the pit orchestra of a great play that's performing next weekend! Happy Star Spangled Banner to you! ;o)

gandatwo When anyone talks about the Star Spangled Banner I always think of the Angles ball team and base ball and of course the fourth of July too. its a great old song really and always makes me proud to be an American and to live in the USA.
