I have a pet. I really love my pet. Her name was Fujiko. She's so cute, huggable and smart. She's my pet since gade5. I a third year college student now and I really miss Fujiko. She died last year. I guess it's because she's too old. There are times when I'm playing with my current pet I remmember Fujiko. She is so unique and no pet can replace her in my heart. I cried in the day of her death. How about you? Do you miss your pet? Do you have a pet who died? Share you storey...

yes...pets are like your children...it is hard to let them go and move on...especially when they go and move on, you have to move on with your life...pets will always be like babies no matter how old they are when they die... i think just think that they went on to a better place, in Heaven with God, and someday you will be reunited with them again when you die. but now they would want you to move on, live your life, maybe eventually when you are ready get a new pet, and be happy that you had them as long as you had them, cherishing the memories of a close furry family member..

thanks for the advice.... I know that she is in heaven now but I still feel her presence. Maybe she is still there and following my every step. Love the memories that we made together.

When I was a little girl (I think I was 5), we got a golden retriever. She was the best do. When I was 12, she got leukemia and eventually passed away. When I was 15, we got a dog from the pound. Wonderful dog, she passed away when I was 30. I still miss both of those dogs. Granted, I now have 3 dogs (2 beagles and a little mutt) and I love them dearly. Our pets are members of our family, so of course we miss them when they are gone.

leukemia? I thought that leukemia is for human only. Yeah! I agree! Pets are members of our family... They must be treated well and must be loved. Congrats for having a wonderful dogs.

when i was younger i got a dog from my grandma because she was too old to care for the dog and the dogs owner had passed away. we had the dog for probably 12 years and he was great. so friendly and lovable, had a great personality. i really miss him but i also feel a lot of regret and i think thats why it was so hard or still is sometimes beacuse i didn't take better care of him or play with him enough or just whatever.. because i look at my dog now (pics of him on my profile) and just can't picture life without him and his SO spoiled... i'm a lot older now and i know that having a pet means taking care of them not just playing with them. but when ur a kid.. u just don't think that way.. i mean the dog always got taken care of because my mom did it. but she shouldn't of had too and i just really wish i would of treated him better and made more memory's and that i would really took the the time to watch him while he played or to all the weird things he might of did..

Oh yes. Especially those pets that seemed to captured our hearts the big way. Two of our cats were like that, and one puppy, too. Every time we think of them, we would feel awed and sad, but then happy, too, that they became our pets even for a short time.

Yes, I think when we've made a dog or cat part of our lives of course we miss them. There like a member of the family. I know when I lost my border collie I felt awful, I still do look upon him with fond memories. He was so smart. He'd know immediately if something was wrong. I can remember this one time we were dog sitting for a friend and somehow her dog got out without us. We were frantic to find my friend's dog. We looked at our border collie, it was like he knew what was wrong, we opened the back door and out he ran into the woods behind the house, guess what, yep, he came back with my friends dog. It was amazing.

I'm so sorry you lost Fujiko. It's heartbreaking, we love them so much and know we'll outlive them but it's like losing a best friend. I still can't listen to a certain song that was playing on the radio when I took my poor dog Domino--rather, his shell--home after his stroke and I had to take him to the vet and help him cross over. I'm about to cry right now, and it's been 8 years! I have two dogs now and they're my last. I'm 53 and it wouldn't be fair to get other dogs after I lose these two as they may outlive me. I take comfort, though, that all my beloved pets are waiting for me on the other side of life.

I've only had one pet in my life, and it's still alive. A netherland dwarf rabbit named Soujirou. It's not very nice and sometimes I find myself wishing it would "disappear" so I could get another one, but then I realize I'd be losing a really good, fluffy, fat, friend. ^_^

My pet didn't die old.A wicked cat ate my goldfish. She was my last pet i really cared for.And i was very sad for it,like when a very good friend walks away on you. After that i haven't been such a pet lover. But i still have three fish in my pool.Dont get enough time for them though.

When I was a boy of 10years, we had a pet dog by name "jimmy". We carried him at 15 days after his birth. We fed him with milk and food. We being vegeterian, he has little opportunity to taste meat, born etc. But still he grown up with good physic and courageous in chasing other dogs too. We had a farm house, looked after by our peasent. They were loyal to us. We treat them as our relatives. When ever he visits our house he use to make demands to take Jimmy with him. When he was 3 years old we send him to our peasent since we want our Jimmy to taste meat and other non-vegetarian food. We all weapt. He too cried and his barking heard for a long distance he went. After a month we visited our farm house and saw him. He was very affectionate. we left the place when he was busy in other activity. After that we don't have pet animals since we realise parting of pet animal affects us very much.

I was so deppressed and didn't think that i could ever get over it. His sister recently passed at almost 20 years old and i felt the same way!!! I buried them both out in the backyard where freddie and sophie brother and sister weeinie dogs can spend eternity!!!
