Last time, I started a discussion ("Why don't people create electric automobiles"). I came across these articles and I found out that people have indeed been able to create such automobiles However, their technology still needs to be improved. Take a look at these articles http://green.yahoo.com/blog/ecogeek/312/air-powered-cars-in-america-by-2010.html -- "Air Powered Cars in America by 2010". Then, http://green.yahoo.com/blog/ecogeek/372/zap-set-to-release-3-wheeled-electric-sports-car.html -- "Zap set to release 3-wheeled electric sports car" Aren't they cool? I like their exterior designs. It is modern and also looks sophisticated. What do you think? But I am wondering why such cars are small and only have a two seater?

It is quite simple really. I already explained that to you last time. The biggest problem with electric cars is the storage of energy (battery). The smaller the car... the less energy it requires to propulse it. If you were to put an electric motor in a normal size car... the motor would require so much energy that your battery would be flat after doing one kilometer.

Hi Aussies2007, Well, technology is changing. I believe that future's technology will come up better than today's technology. So, we don't have to use the storage of energy (battery) in order to run automobiles. Come on, people! If we want to find UFOs, we will have to find other alternative energy . We can't explore the universe with battery

I have read about alternative cars for several years and I even remember as a child reading that one day we would have a car that would convert into an airplane and end the traffic congestion. The biggest problem with electric cars is the batteries and replacing them. I have heard from dealers that it will cost between $5,000 and $8,000 every 3years to replace the batteries.
