For the last 2 days. He came home on tuesday feeling a bit nauseated, and with cough. The next morning he was not able to keep anything in his stomach, had fever and was feeling generally ill. With all these rapid changes of temperature a lot of kids are getting sick. He was not the exception:) I couldn't miss work to stay with him - plus he will be 15 in less than a month, so I went to work and called home every once in a while to know how he was feeling. He slept for most of the day but still was a bit sick this morning so he stayed home again. He was better when I came back home today. I even found him at the computer playing a game - which for this time only I didn't get upset. YOu see the day before he didn't even have the energy to get out of bed. He's looking so much better todaY:) Anyone else out there with a kid that caught the flu?

Right now we have reached the peak of flu season and it is starting to slow down.My kid is 21 and if he has the flu,it is up to his g/f to help him thru it.I have a g/f with low immunity level due to illnesses and she has been fighting it for 2 or 3 months now(just as she starts to get over it,another type hits her).I have been down only 2 days this winter(luckily) so i can attend to her as needed. It is good to hear your son is feeling better.I hope the rest of you remain healthy.

My household got a mild case of the flu during the first week of March this year. Every spring we get a little something it seems. Every spring since the kids started going to school that is. lol. It's so hard to see our kids sick, knowing that we can't do much of anything for them to get better, other than comfort them as the flu takes its course. It's even worse when we get it at the same time, because we can barely do anything for ourselves, let alone try and take care of the basic family needs. I'm glad your son was starting to feel better after only a couple of days. That's about how long it lasted in my house too. But I have a few friends who had it last for a few WEEKS (one here in London, the other out in B.C.). Can you imagine that?? I can't! I'm so glad it wasn't me!

I"m glad it didn't happen for that long for us too, although I had one that did last almost a month in November. I know exactly what you mean when it happens to everyone at the same time. WE're there, sick and hoping that someone would care for us, and we have to get up and take care of everyone else.
