First of all, I think we should respect their decision because its their money that they spent. However, I would not subscribe to the idea of changing one's appearance because we were designed by God to be that way. that is our genetic make-up. denying it would be denying those who came before us and passed those genes to us. The more important thing in life is how you feel inside and not how you look outside. It's all in the mind.

I think it's disgusting the number of people now having plastic surgery. Women in their 30's and 40's being treated for wrinkles? OMG! Joan Rivers is a good example of surgery gone too far! Her face looks like a mask. I have seen worse on TV, though. I think it's pitiful in a way, too. How little you must think of yourself to do that...or how pathetic you are at growing older. Look at Michael Jackson's nose (or lack of a nose). If you have something that is causing you pain, or is not functioning, then that is fine. When some people get older, their eyelids droop and they can't see properly. That's a valid reason for plastic surgery. But as long as there are people with more money than brains or decency, there will be thousands of plastic surgeons making millions of dollars!

Never really thought about it. I have a tattoo, and I believe that is abusive to your body, but I am also overweight, which is also detrimental to my health. A surgery to force me to stop eating so much might not be a bad thing.
