As the current global market volatility sets in, fuel and metal prices among all the other commodities, in particularly are rising remarkably. Who feel that things are really getting expensive. Inflation is really getting negative. Whats your view on this issue?

I was speaking to someone about this yesterday. I've noticed that I got a raise, I'm buying less clothing, but I have less money. I checked out my expenses over the last 4 months and saw that: 1. My gas charges have gone from 108.00 a month to 160 a month. thats..huge. Also, the prices of foods have gone crazy. I went to buy steak and it was 15 dollars for one t-bone. Soon everything will be so expensive nobody will have spare money to buy anything. Scary

Apart from Gas and food, I am sure you will feel it that one way or another precious metal are raising to a very unreasonable price level. Yes, it is scary, isn't it. :) Thank you for your response.

Depends on where you are, but things are getting rather hectic worldwide. Gas prices are rising, and several crops are more expensive. Groceries are also a growing expensive item due to both of these (and other sub-variables). I really wonder how this one will play out. Recession seems imminent (or presently occuring depending on your select definition). Stagflation could occur too: in the states for example. Rare metals are on the rise, most notably gold. Currencies are completely devalued compared to previous models. When currency is devalued and the cost of goods rises its a chain effect (just think of having a bill worth only 75% and having the cost of goods rise 5-15%).

I agree that things are getting really hectic and that is immaterial whether where you are from. Thanks for the insightful view on the recession being very imminent. Well, in my perspective, with banks starting to write down more and more with credit crunch being the prevailing problem. Unless a really big rate cut is effected by the feds, recession will still go on. However on the other hand, having a low green back will hurt export for many countries around the world because the other countries currencies will gain strength. I also agree with you on the rises in the cost of goods and the aftermath triggered negative effect to the economy. Thanks for the response.

I have especially noticed it in groceries. I did not do the shopping for the family for about 10 months and now it is my responsibility again. I cannot believe how much some things have gone up! We bought our favorite store brand mac n cheese today and my daughter says "that's only .59?" And my response was, yes, and it's not much but it is 8 cents more than it was just 10 months ago. Now, granted 8 cents isn't much, but it is a 16% increase. If everything is that much more...that adds a bit to the monthly grocery bill.

Thank you for your response. Our daily needs are cutting in very substantially into our expenses. This can be really bad. Apart from looking out for discount and bargains that can make us saves more, I do not think there is other things that we can do. Cheers.
