Is there any one thing that keeps you too busy to log onto mylot?

Basically the only time I don't log on is when I have my granddaughter for the night or a couple of days. When she isn't here I have all day to sit here and do my thing but when she is I devote my time to her....until she falls asleep (like she is now ) and I can get my discussions and responses in until it's my bedtime. What keeps you from logging onto mylot? Is there any one thing or a number of things?

I try to log here a bit every day or night, but you're right, it's getting harder for me to be here as much as I used to be. I do have a lot of other things to keep me a tad busy..LOL...like working more on my photo work with scanning photos, looking up up contacts to self-promote my work and get nibbles of interest to use my photos..then I'm writing an ebook about marketing photos, dabble a bit and write up in one of my novels, write articles...gee, nothing much...heheee

Bweing home all day watching over dad makes it really easy for me to be here 10 or more hours each day. I did forget to add in my response that when the grandsons visit every other weekend I am either out with them doing fun things or they want to play some of my slot games so I log off then. BTW how is the photo stuff coming along these days? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Attending to my son, that usually keeps me away. Sometimes errands and urgent things I need to do during the day often does it too.

It's the errands and cleaning my apartment that keep me away the most...not to mention when Vicky is here.

Being as I am my fatheras caregiver and home ALL day long I am online almost all day as well. When he has Dr appointments or bath scheduled it keeps me from being on myLot. I am still logged in but just away from the puter. I do a lot of myLotting during the day then late at night while everyone is alseep I play my games mostly. My wife has just started again going online when she wakes up doing contest entries etc. But she does not stay online but an hour at the most and I am usually asleep. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I probably won't be on much Friday and Saturday, as I'm going to NYC to sell my zines at a big exposition. I'll try to log on for a couple of minutes each day, however, as my goal is to post here everyday in March.

Good luck with selling your zines! I hope you reach your March goal. I seldom reach any of mine

I go off and on Mylot all day, every day. The only thing that really keeps me off for any length of time is spending time with my friends. I like to go and hang out and laugh with them. Reading also keeps me away for extended periods of time.

I'm an off and on all day type too. I stop to eat, clean, run to the store or watch a favorite tv program. Sometimes I feel like playing spades and will play for an hour or two but always end uup back here!

There are several things that will do it 1) Work 2) Star rating still hasn't changed (quality still not acknowledged properly) 3) Gaming 4) Writing my book and my RPG 5) Cooking major meals 6) Just wanting to relax

You are a busy beaver aren't you? I don't pay much attention to the star ratings in fact at this time I have no idea what mine is....and I don't care!

work, sleep, chores, myspace, yuwie, psychology research, homework, news/political and economical research, the occasional visit with family, health problems and medical appointments, watching the occasional movie, using the restroom and all other forms of personal time, power failure, running errands, journaling, ...I'm sure there's much, much more...

HeHe. Isn't it funny how we hat it when something interferes with our hobby! Sadly, what keeps me from logging on to mylot is the 'at home' part of my routine job. I teach nursing at a small private college and there are countless papers, tests, quizes and patient care plans to devise and then later grade which is all done at home on my time. I do have office hours at the college, but one can't really get any work done because of the other faculty who drop by to socialize and of course students who drop in needing help with things (which I don't mind at all).

I stay logged in, then when I do get free time to discuss all I have to do is pull up my page. The things that keep me away are normal mom duties, cooking, cleaning, chauffering etc. My Lot is the thing I do to relax after all the hectic part of my life is done. It has been a wonderful outlet for me. I like being able to have an adult conversation for a little while, even if it is just me typing, and waiting for responses.

Mylot is a wonderful outlet for a busy day, stress and a lot of other things. I also find it very relaxing to sit and read the discussions and responses....and earn some money at the same time

The last few days I've barely been able to look at mylot because I've started a new job. I actually made nothing on Thursday. I haven't made nothing since I activated my account several months ago, but I'v been too tired when I got home the last few nights to even entertain the thought.

Travel is one that gets me lately. I try to at least log in every day and answer one or two posts. Even if I am on the road. I will access it through the internet on my phone. My daughter takes up lots of time, so I do most of my posting late at night or when she naps. Though today I napped with her! The weekends are harder for me to log in as well. My husband keeps us out most of the day. I had posted every day this month until last Saturday. I wasn't able to log in until after 1 am, so those posts went toward Sunday. That is really the only goal that I keep on mylot. It doesn't matter how many posts I make, I just want to log in and post every day. I almost met that goal this month.

I haven't been around much in mylot because of moving but now that I am finally settled in I will be here more again. But there are days I won't be logging into mylot because sometimes I'm just not motivated enough and do other things besides the computer. So there are many days I don't log in and many more to come.

I like to try to spend more time with my kids than be on the computer. So when my kids are around that stops me from being here and if my boyfriend or just company comes over I stay off the computer. House clean often times comes before my computer time as well but I ALWAYS try to get on for at least an hour.

If I've got a migraine headache, I will not be able to get my butt off the bed for anything other than an Imitrex, an Ibuprofen, and a glass of water. Those suckers are sometimes a week in duration. They feel like the fourth day of a three day Spring Break bender. It feels often like Tiger Woods has been putting with your skull. * Then there was the joyful flu. I'm still recovering from that wonder, which I came down with February 3rd. I remember it well because that was payday, I landed on my back and wasn't able to so much as utter a word for three weeks. It is now the 22 of March and I am still on high power antibiotics for an evil dose of sinusitis & bronchitis that decided to hitch a ride!

The only thing that keeps me from mylot is a power outage.. haha. No, really.. I log on in the evenings after I get my cleaning done and am ready to settle down on the couch and watch tv. On the weekends I sign on early in the morning to pass some time. I love this site and love discussions, so it keeps me here for a good while each day :)

I had a friend who sent me 30 emails one AM, then 30 emails one afternoon, and then she started in again that evening. So I told her to quit already. Esp. since most of her problems she created herself and she doesn't want to hear of any solutions, but she wants to take up everyone else's time. Her sister had told her to cool it the week before because she had done the same to her. Two weeks before that, I had spent 4 hours of my morning with her online to no avail. If she only wanted to vent, then I don't know why she was asking for advice and opinions. But then she also tried to get me into the middle of her family fights and I said enough is enough, leave me alone. So she shouldn't be a problem now. But Easter and another friend finding out she had cancer did prevent me from getting online very much and those were worthy causes. Take care.

Gracie and Music - Gracie took to little Music when he was a kitten and mothered him. Now she won't have anything to do with him. lol
Yes, my fur babies can. One likes to be a pest and wants my undivided attention all the time. She's my siamese seal point sweetheart, Gracie. She sits right beside me on her kitty tower while I'm on here and then there's the puppies, they get into something that I need to put a stop to or they get into an "arguement" in which I need to intervene. lol Being that I have 9 cats and 5 dogs, they keep me pretty busy.

My family keeps me from logging on. I have 3 children, 12, 2 and 4 months, so when they are awake (at least the little ones) I can't log on. I have to take care of them and between the 3 of them there is always one of them demanding my attention until their all in bed....like now :) I get my time online at night, if I can stay awake, and in the morning after my hubby goes to work and the kids are still sleeping. I wish I had more time, I really enjoy the discussions on My lot and I don't get enough time to respond to all that I'd like to. That is another thing that keeps me from starting too many, I don't have a lot of time to respond to my responses, if that makes sense. I don't want people to think I don't appreciate their input, when in reality I really enjoy getting others opinions about things.
