WHen we came from the hospital it was almost time for diner.
We had salmon "steaks" marinating so we just had to grill them.
But unfortunately none of us had much of an appetite and we all left a bit. I was taking the dishes to the kitchen when Bailey came behind me. He never asks for our food, but today he did, so I got a tiny bit of the salmon and gave it to him.
He loved it!!!So I shredded a bit more and put it in his bowl.
Our other car, fluffy, came, smelled it, tried it, but apparently didn't like it because she turned away in a royal display of rejection.
But bailey ate it all :)
I had bought some cat food cans with salmon before - at least it says on the can that it has salmon - but none of them was ever really interested. I guess Bailey prefers fresh salmon :)
Does your cat like salmon too?

Hello Twin yes all 5 Cats like Salmon and I am surprised that Fluffy turned away from it lol maybe she is like Gissi and very fussy with her food
Gissi will only eat one brand of Food and he only likes certain Treats and yes you guessed right it is the expensive ones lol
Love and Hug to you

I cook for my dogs and my cat. One of their favorite is rice with salmon. It is much more rice for dogs than for cat.
I mix it well, so they eat it all...
It is Holiday only dinner.
They love salmon and white fish.

It is not really a good idea to feed cats the food that you eat, even if it is fish, especially if it is seasoned. Tuna is the worst even in cat food flavors. I have a friend who has done a lot of research in cat food issues. The best food that is available is Wellness food. It is not made of rejected and ground up things that are discarded from other animals. The quality is human quality even though you would not want to eat it. Always use cat food because a cat cannot survivie without Taurine. Once in awhile I let my cats have a taste of Tuna juice, but we get ours in Water, not oil.
Good luck. Remember cats think they want and like anything. We have a cat here who is a dairy addict. She sits primly in front of me every time I eat pudding, ice cream, anything with dairy. That is very fattening for them. Most adult cats can't even tolerate milk nor do they want it.

MOst commercial cat and dog food brands are just a good business that's all. It's important to really read labels and check what's listed first. Sometimes one has to get to way down to find any real protein added.
Wellness food is supposed to be among the best brands, as is felinae and a few others.
Cooking for our pets is ok too if all the right supplements are added.
Seasoning is not needed or even good for them and some foods are not good for them to eat.
THe occasional treat is ok however, and that is what this was.
As for tuna juice, if it's packed in olive oil it is actually better for them than water as olive oil has some essential nutrients.Regular oil however is not as good.
