I finished watching the final episode of the 4th season of Soap earlier this week. I still laughed all through the thing - and my husband still doesn't get it. But, he did watch the end and asked me "Who dies?" I kept telling him through the whole DVD that this was the LAST disk of the FINAL season. I wonder if they could have a "come back" like all the other shows have done? Half the cast was supposed to get shot at the end of that last season. How do you think the first show for season 5 would have gone? I think Jessica would have sweet-talked her way out of it. Chester would have missed and shot a pillow. Bert probably would have gotten shot but not fatally - I think he would have had some help somehow - maybe the alien baby?
