Im going to kill my husband! This morning he was polishing his black shoes before he went to work. I heard him say OH NO. The shoe polish broke the spongy part. So thankfully we had another shoe polish. So he finished doing his shoes in the kitchen. I didnt think anything of it. I just noticed there is black shoe polish on my beige carpet. Does anyone know how I can get it out?

Not sure about that one, my friend. But I guess killing hubby will at least make you feel better about the carpet LOL but don't kill him completely, you might need him later :)
Make him clean it himself, that should teach him, but it won't do anything to the carpet heheheheh
SO you'll end up with the stain in the carpet and will still have to find a way to clean it.
I"m answering from my mail so I haven't been able to see the answers yet, but I'm curious because I wouldn't know what to do either.

This is the most difficult thing to do. I would forst remove oil part by using iron and paper towel.
Than, soak the spot with oxyclean bleach or non chlorine bleach for colors. Repeat few times till clean.
I would try googone too but I am not sure if can be use on carpet.

Try liquid Oxyclean, works on everything...and is very mild and safe...

UtOh! That's hard to get out of carpet. hmmmmmmm...If your have OxiClean, you can try that. Make a thick paste of it with warm water, dab it on, and lightly scrub with a small brush. Let it sit for a few min. then wipe it up. Keep doing it till it comes up then let it dry and vacuum. I have a Bissell spot cleaner which gets just bout everything up out of carpets/mattresses.

I found this Terry on the net. Hope it does the trick!Follow these instructions to remove: Shoe Polish
1) Scoop up and blot as much of the spill as possible. Vacuum up any dry particles.
2) Prepare suggested cleaning solutions below, beginning with the first one listed.
3) Pretest the cleaning solution on an inconspicuous spot of carpet to ensure it does not discolor or damage the carpet.
4) Apply the cleaning solution to the stain area. Work from the outside of the stain toward the center.
5) Allow the cleaning solution to remain on the spill for at least five minutes.
6) Blot with a clean white cloth until no more stain transfers to the cloth. Do not rub the stain area or you might damage the carpet fibers.
7) Rinse with cold water. Be sure all cleaning solution is removed from carpet.
8) If you can still see the stain, repeat the process until either the stain is removed or the stain no longer transfers to the cloth.
9) If the stain remains, try the next solution on the list and follow the same protocol above. If the stain persists after trying each solution listed, contact a professional cleaner.
10) Once the stain is removed, place layers of white paper towel on the site to absorb any moisture. Weight down the towels with a non-staining glass or ceramic object. You can let them sit overnight.
11) When the carpet is dry, vacuum to restore the texture.
Cleaning Solutions for Shoe Polish
Detergent Solution

Now go spank hubbys behind!! LOL

I've heard this process works but have never tried it myself. Try Windex the original brand, blue formula, as it will often get stains out of carpet. Spray on and wipe off with paper towels. Try it first in an area that can't be seen such as a closet or corner before using it out in the middle. Good luck and hope this works.

Oh, no, please do not kill your husband, without whom life is dull and uninteresting. hehehe. Kidding only, I know you would not. I am so sorry that your beige carpet got some black shoe polish. I have no idea how, but I think that it would be very difficult to get rid of it. If it is really that difficult, you might just leave it there as a way of decoration, which is also nice and good-looking.
Good luck on your job.
