As the administration of the United States continues to make decisions on our behalf, I can't help but wonder why we are not informed before hand on some of these issues. I recently saw this video entitled "The truth Behind the WTO" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E10j7Hk31LY Infact, there were several videos from around the world regarding this organization. As I watched the video, I was appalled to discover what is really behind this so-called "trade-agreement" group. I cannot help but wonder why the United States would join such a group? At least I know why it was done behind my back as I certainly would not have voted for entry or given an approving voice to this agreement! What do you know about this group? Is it ok to continue the expansion efforts of these big corporations who hold themselves accountable to no one, destroying lives and the environment, placing money and power above the will of the people? Of course not, and I for one am going to quit buying my products from such corporations!

do you realize that you seem to have always an argumentative tone or at least that is what I get, perhaps you are not and just debating but the way you word you responses come off very strong. yes I agree that a video is a starting point, a trigger like any other, and remember I am expressing my opinion and not telling anyone else what to do. I trust media to a certain extend, that too is a starting point, not everyone know that the same story posted on different media sources like fox news, or cnn will come off entirely different, not everyone knows, internet sources can be great resources and they are also full of lies and misconceptions based on the biases of the people writing the articles, putting up the videos etc, it is like buying a used car buyer beware, your read something anything, the sky is blue for arguement sake, then if you are truly interested you check out several sources, in this case science is the best place to find the answers, for world trade organization, it is more subjective and you would have to read several articles about the organization and its pros and cons to come up with an informed opinion, now that doesn't mean you and I would come up with the same conclusion maybe we would maybe we wouldn't but, we have come to our conclusions based on doing research, not just listening to one source.

Really, would you trust the mainstream media to be the great truth teller then? How would one know the difference? Without a real education, developing a creative and constructive intellect, how could one search out the truth? Without the basics in reading comprehension or knowing how to research the truth behind any media presentation (YouTube or the mainstream news) how would one know? Without education how would one know which videos are telling the truth and which are not? Use the video as a starting point and then start asking questions; but then without education how would one know which questions to ask? I would watch and listen to a variety of videos, I would try to pursue the truth no matter how uneducated I seemed at first.

Although I am going to have bone up some of these outfits.... in answer to you question as why the US would get involved in something lie this... I would remind you of NAFTA. There are many things being done behind our back, most of them related to the UN for the purpose of stripping us of our sovereignty and for creating a World Government with the UN in charge. Our education system is geared to furthering acceptance for this, and the treaties that Congress is proposing are to this end as well, such as L.O.S.T. and Global Anti-Poverty Bill that Obama sponsored. These are just a few of the reasons that I support withdrawing from the UN, because our continued membership threatens our individual freedoms as well as our nation's sovereignty. If you plan on boycotting these companies, you will find the list quite long. In fact I would be surprised if the smaller companies are not owned by the big supporters of the WTO. The sad fact is that we are in a World Economy, however that does not mean that we should allow ourselves to be dictated to by a world organization such as the WTO or the UN.

Destiny, I guess I am trying to get others to "wake-up" and quit being so complacent regarding the world around them. Since the majority of high school graduates cannot read beyond the 6th grade level, I thought watching a video might increase their awareness and continue their education which is so clearly lacking. I am very afraid, afraid for this great nation and her people. Very few of us really know what's going on, the rest have been "designed" into ignorance.

I know what you mean... not only is this being taught in our schools... it is also in our movies. Being a bit of a SCI-FI fan, most every futuristic movie or series out there shows a world president or leader. Most of them shows where individualism is secondary to the good of the community or the government, and is only acceptable under those conditions. "The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, or the one"... that is a line from the movie "The Wrath of Khan", where a character selflessly gives his life to save others. On the surface it looks like a good statement, but the reality is that America was founded on the premise of Individual Rights and freedoms, NOT Collective Rights. Collective Rights is nothing less than Socialism, and that is what is being taught to our children. The New World Order and One World Government is more dangerous and more insidious than even terrorism, because it is an attack on the very things that America was founded on. The UN and the WTO are major players in this movement as is the CFR. Our government has been working towards this end since at least WW2 and I strongly suspect it was even prior to that when we went off of the Gold Standard. There is a long and dirty history in our government, and we have people in Congress who are determined to strip us of our rights and convert us into Socialists and World Citizens.
