Do you worry about holidays?

I remember when I was young I would watch my family make a big todo during Holidays, and as a young adult I would make a big todo about it myself. The last few years though it has gotten to where I view most Holidays as just another day to an extent. I still go over to my family's house, but I don't get all worked up over it any more. I would like to know whether you still make a big deal over the holidays, or if you have gotten out of alot of the traditional hustle and bustle of the holidays?

Yes, I do worry about holidays .I have to do much more work than usual and the work made me wear out.and I have to visit many people that I don't want to see.I do all the things in a hurry and felt very tried after the holiday .

When I was small it was my grandmother that held the family together. We had family reunions. We had family BBQs. We had Christmas get togethers with the famous GrabBag. We had big Thanksgiving Dinner. After she past away it seems like the relatives drifted away. We all do our own thing now. After my dad past away it got worse and then after my mother past away I lost all desire to celebrate not even enough to do it for my son. I figure he can learn about those traditions from watching it on T.V.

We used to do huge family gatherings when I was little.. now that people have passed away and the others dont come around as much any more, usually its just me and my mom and dad and boyfriend. We go to his moms house for dinner on most holidays as well-- they have a bigger family but again, its just for dinner. I think now that I'm older and can help with dinner I dont think my mom stresses so much over all that she has to do. She makes her dishes and I make mine.
