Hey MyLotters! My fiance and I are going to Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam for our honeymoon. Anyone who have been to those places want to share MUST DOs? eg. What places would sit on your MUST DO when visiting list? What activities etc? One place that I definitely want to visit is Ankor Wat. Been to Malaysia and Singapore before, but never to the other places!

I also support your idea. You honeymoon will be great with the significants view of Angkor wat. i think that you should not take Vietnam.

I'm actually from Sarawak. There are some places that you MUST go if you drop by Borneo. For Sarawak, Kuching is the capital city. 1. You can either go to Sarawak Culture Village (www.scv.com.my) or Damai Beach for a suntan. Both places located in Kuching. You get to know more about Sarawak culture and ethnic groups at SCV. 2.If you like exploring caves, Niah Cave and Mulu Cave in Miri are the place. You can travel by bus and cab to Niah Cave. But for Mulu Cave, you need to fly there from Miri Airport. I heard that the scenery there are fascinating. For Sabah, Kota Kinabalu is the capital city. 1.If you like mountain hiking, you should go for Mount. Kinabalu. It's the highest mountain in Malaysia. It's located outside the capital city. 2.If you like snorkeling or scuba diving, then Sipadan Island, Layang-layang Island, Manukan Island are the places for you. It's among the best site for diving recommended by some of the world famous divers.

Why dont you try going here in the Philippines and see new things? We have a lot to offer like the rice terraces in Banaue, the Chocolate hills in Bohol, not to exclude the wonderful beaches in Boracay, Palawan and a lot of adventures to explore like caves and natuer tripping. We dont have much to see in Manila as its the usual buildings but a lot in the counryside with its natural resources. Haven;t you heard Amazing Race Asia always include the Philippines in their destination in the game? Also, why dont you see our big malls in Manila in which most tourist say we have some of the biggest and offer a wide range of bargain designer label ones? Well hope you drop by here in the Philippines. Check it out: http://www.tourism.gov.ph

Yes I really agree to this post. It is horrible thing to miss out on the wonders that the Philippines can offer. Hmmm... I'm deciding to post something here. I have to say that you will get more than your money's worth in the country because everything is cheap. Anyway, to help you out in your travel decision and itinerary I suggest that you view this site: http://youtube.com/watch?v=2FsBvXh3m2A

In Thailand, just remember two things, respect the royal family as well as their religion(monks, temples, buddhas, spirit houses) and you'll be okay here. I am not Thai but I am promoting this country because I had been to several of their tourist spots and I was never failed, every trip gave me a new experience even though some of the places were visited a few times already.

In Singapore, try the cable cars at night it really gives you a nice view of the city and it really is romantic. If you are going to thailand, why don't you try the Chao Phraya river cruise? The food is great and the view is spectacular and it really is a nice venue for your honey moon. Are you seriously not adding the Philippines in the itinerary? If not then you are missing half of your life. I mean, the Philippines is the third largest English speaking country in the world. You won't have problem communicating with people and at the same time getting around the area. I know this for a fact because my parents are Filipinos and I've been there a couple of times and I really love it. It is the ideal travel destination because it really is tourist friendly. I suggest you go to the pristine beaches of Boracay in the Philippines. It is really a world class island. It is renowned for it's white sand and blue waters. Add that to the fact that it paints a romantic scene during sunset. The sun's rays paints the crimson sky and it is the perfect back drop for your honeymoon. I also suggest that you go to Palawan. It is after all a world heritage site. You can try snorkeling there and see an array of marine life and a picturesque colorful coral reef. Lastly, in the city, make sure to check out the beautiful walled city of intramuros. It is the epitome of east meeting west. It would show you the marriage of Filipino and Spanish culture. You can have a candle light dinner under the stars in the walled city with a Spanish fortress as your back drop. It is really romantic. If you want more details try going to http://www.wowphilippines.com.ph Your South East Asian tour is not complete without the Philippines. If you are not satisfied with one island you can choose from one of the other 7,100 plus islands that this lush archipelago has!
