My home has been very clean and it has had periods of being very dirty. I find that when my house is a mess so is my life? I am unorganized and unable to concentrate on finishing anything. But when it is clean I feel focused and alert and able to accomplish anything. What do you think is the house affecting life or the other way around?

I've always believed this to be true. If a person's house, office or car is a total disaster area, so is there life, and usually, everything in it. Finances, children, relationships, everything. Thank God mine is clean and in order. I think

I get quite messy around my computer area but the rest of the house is ok. I have moved my computer out of the cupboard, where it was originally because I injured my leg badly and couldn't get in there. So, my paper trays and disc storage and everything are no longer to hand, and I tend to get bits of paper strewn all over the place, where I've printed things off and not filed them immediately, and piles of discs laying around my computer. That's my work area! The rest of the house, I like to be clean and organised, so that if I want to chill, I can go into any other room, and do so. Brightest Blessings.

I am a music composer, and I really need everything to be in order at home, because I just cannot just sit and play guitar if there is no convenient place to sit and focus only on what I am doing. I think everybody else feels the same about their home, regardless of how they spend the time there.

I would have to say it is the other way around. Just b/c when I'm focused and feel like I could do anything in the world my house is clean. Yet, when things in my life are going downhill or just really a mess so is my house. I think that it has to do with how i'm feeling. If things in life are going good and nothing seems to be going wrong then I'm in a good mood. When I'm like this, I get the house cleaned and a bunch of other stuff done that normally wouldnt get done. Rather than mooping about, i get things organized and cleaned. Now, if my life seems to be a big mess and nothing is going right its totally different. I get slightly depressed and dont feel like doing anything. So the house gets messy and dirty and just a full on disaster. Things just kind of pile up here and there other than the few things i pick up here and there. Thats the way i see it. maybe it is different for you though. Very good question if i may add. Never really thought much about it until you said something.
