What is the last book you read or the book you are currently reading? Why are/did you reading/read it? School requirements, to pass time, etc? Is it good?

They made it into a movie too, circa 1980's I think. Patrick Swazye(?), Tom Cruise, Emilio Estevez...not too shabby.

I love anything by Anne Rice. Currently I am reading the second book in her new series Christ the Lord. It just came out last month, very exciting for me. I'm reading it for personal pleasure, but unfortunately I don't get to read it very often, I have so many books to read for school. A great book I just read for school though was Work by Louisa May Alcott. Also another great book is An Unquiet Mind by Kay Redfield Jamison. I loved the book and I am so excited she is coming to my college next week, I'll get to meet her and hopefully get her autograph.

I have just started Piercing The Darkness by Frank Peretti. It's a Christian novel about the battle between angels and demons around us. It's an intriging novel and the sequel to This Present Darkness which I just finished last week. They are wonderful novels and I suggest them for anyone.

I am reading 'The Third Secret' by Steve Barry, it is a suspense novel, sort of DaVinci Code-esque -- about the 3rd secret of Fatima. So it had some appeal. It is very good.

I am about to start Down River by John Hart, because he is coming to speak at my library next week and I want to have both his books read when he comes! The first one was great and I have heard this one is even better, so I'm looking forward to it!
