I wouldn't force my children do it, but once they get old enough and are able to express to me whether they want to do it or not and they want to, I would let them. But it would not be a needed source of income, and if modeling got in the way of school work and just being a kid period, it would not continue . But I don't think there is anything wrong with a child having a talent and have the fortune of being able to show the world

I think that allowing a child to explore a talent is beautiful, but starting up a home-based baby business makes me slightly sick. If a child can write, sing, play an instrument, or dance, I feel that the parents should facilitate that talent. However, these parents that market their children like a product need to step down. Children just need to be children every once in a while.

Never!! I would though let my child model if he wanted too but that money would be put away for his college funds.. It's not free to go to school anymore thats for sure mainly to get a good education... People that do that need to find real jobs that's for sure, it's sad though cause some parents do do it...

Both my daughters modelled for Laura Ashley and Marks and Spenceer when they were little but it wasn't me who put them there, it was a pre-school photography who put them forward. I allowed them as they were both excited about it but when they started school fulltime stopped it and said they could continue when they were older if they wanted to as I felt their schooling was more important and like you say their childhood too. Both have been asked now they are teenagers but are not really that interested. Ellie :D

If my child wanted to model willingly i would let them do it as long as it didnt interfere with school. But with the money they earn i would definitely put it in a bank, and once i knew that they knew the value of a dollar i would give them the money and im sure that it would be a win win.

I think all 5 of my children are beautiful. I would never be the type to put my children into modeling careers. I believe that children should be children first and foremost. It's sad to see some of the things these children models go through because of all the pressure from the parents. It's just as bad as putting a child into Beauty Pageants.
