difference between linux kernel 2.4 and 2.6

Can anyone let me know What are the differences between the linux kernel version 2.4 and 2.6?

many. main difference : 2.6 is the latest, so use it.

There are lots of different,you can find the changelog on www.kernel.org while i writing a module of kernel in 2.6,i found so many changes.so define is invalid. i should use another way to do the same things.
