For me I used it both. I have both of them handy, at home and in the office. Dictionary you can see detailed meaning of the word you are using, prunounciation, spelling, etymology and the like. Thesaurus you can see the short meaning, the spelling. If you are a writer thesaurus is best. For me both serves the purpose. How about you, which one do you use often?

Yes, that is what I like in thesaurus. Short and yet meaninful. But keep dictionary also as your reference. Keep them both handy. Thanks for the response.

I rarely use thesaurus. mostly I count on my dictionary because dictionary gives me better explanation about the word, the detail combination phrase examples, and even if I am a writer, dictionary is very helpful as a guide for sentence building because usually it has sentences as examples.

You are partial to dictionary. At least we must have both of them handy for our reference materials. Thanks for the response.
