My youngest daughter who is sixteen has a heart of gold but is very headstrong. When she sets her mind to something you can't even break her head with a hammer. When she gets mad the whole neighborhood can hear her voice. I like a girl to have a strong personality but also have softness. How would you go about explaining this to your daughter in a way that she would understand if you were in my situation?

At sixteen you'll be lucky to get her to hear a word you say lol :) Speaking as a former sixteen year-old girl, she is convinced the world revolves around her and she knows everything. All you can do is try to have her sit down with you and have a heart to heart discussion. Even though she may act as though she hears nothing you say, she's hearing every word.

Thank you for the review and very good for you. Have your daughter to read what I say, because what I say is very so .. so .. so .. true. When I was sixteen and head strong, even though the entire school knew me by name, not really of being headstrong, but from being really known for the sports I did. They were all my friends in a way, but so many would been in a better way. If I had all to do over again, everyone in school would of been my dearest friends. I would of listen to all my teachers till I turned blue, read all my books like I was suppose to. Many of my friends went on to bigger and better schools and quite few are millionaires. So to your daughter I say this, stop being so headstrong cause it only hurts you. You can shout all you want and scream till your blue. But, find yourself and be the real sweet you.

I remember when I was sixteen I was headstrong. Seems as it was yesterday I was sixteen, so could it be I'm still headstrong. All I can say is to tell her one day, that in the future her past may bite her in the $ss. Tell her she should make all her peers her deer friends, that her peers today could be her future from the past.
