Sunil Gavaskar is facing axe as ICC panel cheif due to the conflicts between his honarary post and paid commentator with private TV channel. Do you think is it fair to remove him. What business has ICC got with Gavaskar's commentry as we all know he is a good commentator. I feel ICC wants all the money for itself. Isnt it injustice to an Indian Ex Captain?

Dude, if u think its about money, you are terribly wrong. The ICC is frustrated with Sunil Gavaskar because Sunny blasted match referre Mike Procter for his judgement on Harbhajan Singh in his newspaper coloumn after the Sydney test. It is indeed unfortunate that the ICC wants to axe him now, considering they were in no mood to accept the poor umpiring at Sydney, or the pathetic decison to brand Bhajji a racist by mr Procter. Of course, it was BCCI's threat to cancel the tour that made them change thier mind. But poor Gavaskar, he was only speaking his mind.

A good point to know. But what right does ICC to sack Gavaskar. I dont think he has said any wrong and every Indian can justify the umpiring and the Harbhajan's attitude in the Downunder...

you know what this cricket has now involved so much money that there are too many controversies with it. i dont know whta is the problem in it. he is a very good commentator so let him do that. and if he is with ICC for some work he will do that. why so much pain in that. so many ex crickets are trying for commentary. he is so good at it. they should know how to give respect to the greats.

You are exactly right Amita. Cricket has attracted lot of money which is making people go out of ethics. Why should ICC have any problem with Sunil doing commentary. We all know he is a good commentator and i am sure he would do his best for the game being in ICC. Its are the game politics because the ICC people are not getting sufficinet money...
