Do you choose your friends after their age?

Hy! I ask one day ago to someone from this site to be my friend and she refused (i will not say who is because not this matter). I think that was because the age, i beeing more younger than she. In my vision the age doesn't count when you choose a friend, i trully think that you can share the same opinions with people even if is more younger than yo. What do you think?

I personally believe that age is not a factor in choosing friends. You can be friends with anybody regardless of their age. Don't be sad because someone declined you. I'm sure he/she has his own reasons for doing so. Friendship especially virtual friends as in internet or chat, is very hard to determine, to reach and to trust unlike real friends whom you see and feel. You must understand that and I guess you too has your own qualifications in choosing friends. Friendship is not something forced but it just comes out naturally. So cheer up and there's no need to be lonely. If somebody declined you, I'm sure others will like you. Smile and keep posting.

I was a little, but only a little, sad because i think the reason for decline me was the age. I can't know this surely but it makes me a little anxious.

i think to choose the same age be firend will be better ! so that you and your firends have common language!and same hobby!

It is your opinion and i respect that. thans for your response. I keep my point of view. I think that the older person can share their experiences with younger person and so
we (the younger) can learn something about life. In other way
we can give to the older friends a liitle from our youth.
