What are you saving up for?

I don't mean huge purchases like a car or a house. Something that is more expensive that you can't just run out and buy on a whim that you have to save up for. I am saving up for two things now that I think of it. I am taking a mini trip with my best friend in May, my mid life crisis tour. The other thing I am saving up for is a Nintendo WII I love to play games and if this system will help me move around all the better. What are you saving up for?

Hi whywiki.. Im saving of two things too. One is the 40D EOS Canon Camera. Its my dream camera and im dying to have one. I am not a pro in photography but I am so fascinated with it. Second, my paris trip with my boyfriend. It would be a dream come true. I've been planning for my paris trip eversince I arrived here in Denmark. Since my boyfriend is coming, I have to wait and explore Paris together. It would be on our 4th year anniversary since we have no chance to pursue it on my coming birthday. Isnt it great, to have each other on a very romantic country. Cant wait for his arrival.

I think a trip to Paris would be so romantic. I would love to be able to sit at one of the sidewalk cafes with my love and watch the city go by. I would also love a new camera, I love to take photos too.

Well, I really am trying to save up for a new place to live...I just need the security deposit money and to have the income dependable enough that I know I can live off itsince I'm fine with renting because I know a mortgage is impossible. But besides that I try to tuck money away throughout the year for holiday gifts and school clothes for the kids. Two of my kids have summer birthdays so between that and school clothes the summer budget gets tight. Two other kids have birthdays during Christmas shopping season so that stretches things too. Luckily the other two kids plus the two step kids are during the spring when we still have income tax refund money so we can do nice things for them regardless but I save for the others to keep it fair.

It sounds as if you are a really giving person. I think it is nice that you think ahead to birthdays and such. I have to move soon too and I hate the stress of it.

My kids mean more to me than most people realize... All of my moves have been under stressful situations but right now, living here is way more stressful than all of my moves combined. I have got to get us away from here. It's toxic mentally.

I'm doing a lot of shows selling books. I'm also saving to go to ADAPT. I'll these things cost money. I would also like a laptop. In total, I will need about $4000 for my goals. Plus I have debt to repay.

Debt really sucks, it stops me from buying everything I want! I wonder if I will ever be totally debt free again in my life?

I would really love to save enough money so I can take my kids on a cruise. This is quite a big chunk of money to put aside though and we always just wind up driving to Washington to see family. And every year we have a wonderful time. But one of these years we will say Bon Voyage! One can only hope.

I would like to take a cruise one day too. It would be so nice not to have to worry about anything. All your meals made and the room cleaned. I could picture myself lying on the pool deck soaking up all the sun rays and checking out all the hot young pool guys.

I'd love to see Rome. The history of the place alone is incredible! I think guitar hero sounds like a lot of fun too.

well... i have saved enough to either get a core 2 duo CPU or get an Xbox360... but i am more inclined to get a core 2 duo and also, this has to wait till the summer vacations.

It seems that the things we have to wait for are better when we finally get them.

Well at the moment we are trying to save as much as we can to attend my sister in laws wedding next month in Rarotonga (Cook Islands). Bad planning on our part as we had a whole year to save for this event and thought we would be ok. Well fingers crossed we make :)

I also have 2 things that I am saving up for right now. I am saving for a laptop computer. I would like to be able to purchase one by the end of August. Hopefully sooner. Some of the web sites I participate on give out gift cards. So I have been choosing Best Buy cards, since I already had a $50 one before I decided to do this. I am also saving for a short weekend getaway. I am planning a trip to the Smoky Mountains in April. I think it will be fun. I have been there a few times, and I am going with some other members of my family.

I want a laptop too, it is on my list but a bit farther down! I think trips to the mountains with family are well worth every cent.
